It showed up this morning in both my email and here in the comments, a news article saying that Bridget would portray Wonder Woman in Smallville both this season and next with the probability of the character being spun off onto it’s own show. (http://www.kryptonsite.com/news.htm). Before anyone panics, this is an April fools joke. However, it’s nice to know that people are paying attention to our fan efforts to get Bridget the role.

Regan Wins “Wonder Woman” Poll

MTV asked and the fans have spoken.

And they want actress Bridget Regan to star as “Wonder Woman.”

Regan, who stars in the syndicated series “Legend of the Seeker,” took in 62% of the votes. The closest runner up was Megan Gale, who was cast for the now defunct “Justice League” movie, with 15%.

Well, Bridget fans have certainly spoken! The results of the Wonder Woman poll came out today and, no surprise to us, she ran away with it. She ended up with just over 62% of the vote. Good work to everyone who voted! This doesn’t mean she’ll get the role or that the movie will even be made but it shows the kind of devoted following Bridget has and, as Lindsey said, it’s great publicity. Thanks all!

Update 8/5: When I posted that last night, Bridget was at 11%. She’s now at 47%! Good job guys!

MTV.com is running a poll over who should play Wonder Woman. Bridget is, of course, a choice. So go now and vote for Bridget!

A slight digression here, even if Bridget doesn’t get the part or if the movie never even gets made, this is all GREAT publicity for both Bridget and Legend of the Seeker. And the longer Legend of the Seeker is on the longer we get to see Bridget on our screens every week, so even if you don’t like Wonder Woman it’s worth it to vote.
