We at Her Blue Eyes received an e-mail today notifying us of a online store called Shed 11 that is auctioning off 5 genuine LotS costumes on eBay. They are wonderful pieces and would make any collector proud. We’d like to thank Michael for sending us the e-mail that alerted us!
Shed 11 can be found at: http://www.shed11.com/shop/
After clicking on the above link, you can click the heading “eBay auctions.” This will take you to Shed 11′s eBay storefront. Then, on the left, where it says “Store Categories: Other” click on that and that will take you to the five items. A highlight of their auctions is the entire white Mord’Sith outfit worn by Denna! Good luck! Happy bidding!
You cam also purchase Legend of the Seeker-esque costumes from the Shed 11 site as well.
We have here links to a few LotS props being auctioned off on eBay. I will list what each item is above the link.
1. A Mord’Sith costume, looks very nice and legitimate:

2. Mirror Box from the “Puppeteer” episode. Seller includes pictures of the prop being used in the show:

3. Captain Arturis gauntlets from the episode “Broken.” Seller again includes pictures of the gauntlets in action:

Good luck, if you decide to bid on these items!
This Sword of Truth was apparently used in the fight scenes by Craig for all the fighting in Season 1. The seller is Bridget’s stunt double once again and some of the proceeds will go to help Child Cancer. It’s a bit pricey but if you can afford it, it would sure make a heck of an addition to anyone’s collection! Here’s the item: http://item.ebay.com/230491469830
There’s a D’Haran sword being sold on eBay, at least allegedly. The person selling it claims to have worked on the show and it is, in fact, coming from New Zealand. I can’t completely verify the validity of this auction but it seems like it could be the real deal. If you want to check out the details and maybe place a bid, the item can be found here: http://item.ebay.com/330444660973
Also, a whip is being sold. Again, no real guarantees that it came from the show are there, like a certificate of authenticity, but it’s coming from New Zealand as well and the seller claims to have purchased it from the creators of the show at a prop auction. So, if you might like this, you can find it here: http://item.ebay.com/160446496464

An interview with Bridget appears in the summer edition of Runway Magazine. It’s a nice blend of fashion and Legend of the Seeker and there are some REALLY nice black and white photos with it. You can find the magazine in most of the major US bookstores and, oddly enough, in Target. You can also buy a digital copy of it on Zino, starting Tuesday, here: http://www.zinio.com/reader.jsp?issn=1945-2136&o=ext.
And, because we just love you all so much, we’ve got 5 copies of the magazine to give away! Just leave us a comment on this post within the next 24 hours to enter and we’ll randomly select 5 winners. We’re international friendly so if you’re outside the US feel free to enter.
A version of the Sword of Truth that was apparently being used in rehearsals is up on eBay being sold by Bridget’s dear stunt double. A portion of the proceeds will go to cancer-related charity. There’s already a fair number of bids on it, looks like it will be a popular item. So, if you’re interested in a piece of LotS history and also in helping out a good cause, take a look. It can be found here: http://item.ebay.com/230488792972
A few days back we posted about The Torch Online’s Sexiest Woman of Fantasy, 2009-2010 poll, and boy did you all vote! When I posted, Bridget’s Kahlan was in a dead heat with Tabrett Bethel’s excellent Cara but Kahlan pulled way ahead to win by 5% in the end. Doing a little math, or rather having my calculator do a little math, since around 4,700 votes were cast that means that 1,551votes were for Kahlan and that only 235 votes separated her and Cara. It’s apparently random statistics day here on HBE, I hope you’ve enjoyed it.
You can read The Torch Online’s (really funny) write up of the winners here: http://thetorchonline.com/2010/06/14/the-sexiest-woman-of-fantasy-2010-results/
Eek, in the category of things I meant to stay on top of (but totally failed at) are all of the Legend of the Seeker auctions going on over on eBay. But as a white confessor dress has come up, I figured you all might be interested it. I totally confess to having dropped the ball when they auctioned off Kahlan’s black dress last week (sorry anyone who had well over $2,000 to spend on it). On a side note, I’m totally blown away by the prices some of this merchandise is fetching. Anyway, eBayer SeekerLivesOn is currently auctioning off Dayna’s white dress, Kahlan’s black boots, and a MordSith costume. Click here to see those auctions: http://shop.ebay.com/seekerliveson/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=50
Also, Bridget’s stunt double Dayna has put a set of the Boxes of Orden up for sale here: http://item.ebay.com/230488284251
Bridget’s interview from last week’s Monte Carlo TV Festival is up and you can watch it below. Thanks to CineTVBuzz for allowing us to post the interview and letting our readers submit questions.
