Mashable is taking nominations for this years Mashable Awards. The point of the awards is to bring light to great sites, ideas, and people all over the web and that’s where our Bridget comes in. Bridget does a phenomenal job keeping us all updated on her comings and goings and her current projects and she deserves to be noticed. You can vote once a day everyday until November 29th and they’ll announce the finalists on December 1. To vote for Bridget, simply click here: http://mashable.com/awards/votes?c=36&v=%40BridgetRegan and login using either your Facebook or Twitter account.
Update: The voting is now closed and, oddly enough, the poster featuring Bridget won. Thanks to all who voted!

Halloween Costumes Anyone?October 1, 2010 at 3:00 pm
One of the questions we see asked most about Bridget and her time during Legend of the Seeker is… Where do we get one of those white dresses? With Halloween just around the corner I thought we’d post a few links to places where you can have the dress made and if any of you all have other suggestions or links, feel free to leave them in the comments.
First up, a link to someone who will custom make you both the white confessor dress as well as her corset. She’s got a few options for you, and it’ll coast you a bit, but her stuff looks incredible. So go check Heather’s stuff out here: http://www.verymerryseamstress.com/weblog/archives/2010/09/halloween_advice.html
Second, when we did the DragonCon costume contest, Kate sent us some wonderful information about her favorite seamstress, Jeannie Nitro, and the nifty Kahlan costumes that Jeannie had made for her. Jeannie makes both the white confessor dress as well as Kahlan’s green traveling outfit but not the corset. Check out Jeannie’s site here: http://www.jeannienitro.com. Kate has an account over on deviantART full of pictures of her Kahlan dresses in action here: http://theprincessnightmare.deviantart.com and there’s a fan group for Jeannie where other people have posted their action shots of their dresses here: http://jeannienitrofans.deviantart.com.

Hey, all. We’ve got ourselves a Twitter now! We aren’t really sure yet what exactly we’ll be Tweeting about but feel free to Tweet at us and we may Re-Tweet or respond to what you say. It’ll be a nifty interactive addition to the regular website. So, hop on over there at the following link and join in the discussion of all things Bridget! We can be found at: http://twitter.com/hbe

Hey guys, a few random notes for ya.
First up, The Best and the Brightest now has a website. There’s not a lot of information on it, but there is a form you can use to sign up for updates on when the movie will be showing in your area. http://bestnbrightestmovie.com/
Next, and I know I’m a bit late, Bridget’s eBay auction for Haiti sold for $3,350.00. I have to admit, by the time I got around to looking at the auction it was already far out of my price range. For all of you who bid, even if you didn’t win, you are AWESOME! This was such a great cause and I’m very proud to count myself among Bridget’s fans.
Legend of the Seeker Season 2 is out today on DVD. Sadly, this time there is no nifty commentary from Bridget but there are 2 behind the scenes featuretts (neither involve Bridget) and there are extended scenes in a few episodes. My main complaint with this season, aside from the lack of extra Bridget, is that there is once again no booklet. I like booklets, especially when it comes to series on DVDs as they can provide nifty stuff like extra pictures and episode guides. Anyone else go out and pick up season 2 on DVD today? What did you think?
TheHDRoom is joining with Disney to give away three copies of LotS Season 2 on DVD. You can enter the contest once a day until it closes simply by giving them your name, e-mail address and a physical address where they can send your prize if you win. That’s all! The contest ends at 9:59 Eastern Time on October 27th, 2010. All you have to do is click here and you can enter every day until the closing time! Good luck!
Season 2 Haiku Contest WinnerSeptember 27, 2010 at 12:00 pm
The winner of our final Legend of the Seeker DVD contest is Stephen! His haiku managed to be all about Kahlan and season 2, it’s pretty awesome:
Reason and passion
Though Kahlan’s pure heart still beats,
It is always torn
Our runner up, who’s entry we also loved, will be receiving one of the Legend of the Seeker cards from last year. From Zhang:
Till death do we part.
You are my hope and my strength
Confessed, I oblige.
Thanks to all who entered, they were all awesome!
The Best and the Brightest folks Tweeted today about a contest they are having. They are releasing stills from the movie and asking people to use either those shots and/or their imaginations to come up with poster ideas. You can also check out our gallery for a nice, new Bridget pic to use in your design!
So, go to movie’s Twitter, which is located here : BestNBrightest or their Facebook here: The Best and the Brightest and check out the stills, decide if you want to use them, or come up with your own entirely original idea. Then send them a message on Twitter or Facebook with the link to your creation. The winner will be voted on by fans and will be posted on the Best and Brightest website as well as being displayed in the lobby for the premier! Good luck, you creative graphic design people out there!
Bridget’s new movie, The Best and the Brightest, will be premiering at the 2010 Philadelphia Film Festival! The movie will show three times: Saturday Oct. 16, Monday Oct. 18, and Sunday Oct. 24. Tickets are currently only on sale to members of The Philadelphia Film Society but tickets go on sale to the general public starting Monday which gives us just enough time to make the following offer. If you live in the Philadelphia area and would be willing to go and write us up a review of the movie for use here on the site, Chris and I would happily buy your tickets to the movie. Email me at Lindsey [at] herblueeyes.com if you’d be interested.
The movie’s official page within the festival site is here: http://filmadelphia.bside.com/2010/films/thebestandthebrightest_filmadelphia2010. I had to pull an odd move to get a direct link so if it looks a little off, that’s why.
