For those of you who didn’t know, Bridget’s birthday is coming up on February 3! Chris and I have come up with two ways for you all to show your love for our favorite girl. The first is, if you’d like to send Bridget a birthday message email it to me at Lindsey [at] herblueeyes.com and I’ll spiffy it all up in Photoshop and post a link to them on Bridget’s birthday. If you’d rather send something else like fan art or something along those lines I’d be happy to include it as well. All entries must be received by Saturday January 30 so that I have time to work on them.

Also, Chris and I have watched, along with the rest of the world, the devastation wrought on Haiti by the MASSIVE earthquake that rocked Port-au-Prince this week. It will take the Haitian people years to get over what has happened and we want to help. So for the next two weeks we will be taking donations via PayPal and we will donate all the funds we receive to UNICEF (Charity Navigator rating: 4 stars) in Bridget’s name. The donation account will remain open from now until Saturday January 30 and I’ll update the amount of money we’ve received so far on a daily basis. Click on the button on the left to donate. Absolutely any amount you can give will help. Please note that this is all done in US Dollars so if you’re donating internationally there’s usually a small bank fee.

Bridget tweeted awhile back that she was getting a new dress in Legend of the Seeker. And, my, what a dress it is. Here’s the preview for next weeks episode. I can definitely see what Bridget meant about ventilation…

Chris and I would like to take a moment to note the passing of one of Bridget’s Legend of the Seeker co-stars, Joy Watson. Joy played the older version of Shota in the episodes Reckoning and Identity. She died as the result of a car crash in the UK where she was attending a WWII evacuee reunion. Aside from missing her on the show, she sounds as though she led a wonderful life and our condolences go out to her family.

This year’s Legend of the Seeker panel at Comic Con produced a wealth of information! I’ve noticed that in some of the comments, both here and elsewhere on the web, people apparently thought that Bridget would be at the panel. She wasn’t. The only series regular who attended the panel was Bruce Spence (Zedd) with the rest of the cast staying behind in New Zealand to film season two.
