Bridget’s Legend of the Seeker co-star Tabrett Bethell has joined the cast of ABC’s new pilot, Poe. The show centers around Edgar Allan Poe in a crime fighting procedural. Congrats Tabrett! We look forward to seeing you on our screens once again next fall!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the Christchurch, NZ area in the wake of today’s massive earthquake, the second in only 5 months. New Zealand has served as such a wonderful backdrop for fantasy shows like Legend of the Seeker as well as Lord of the Rings and by all accounts the people there have been absolutely fantastic to the various film crews. We are saddened beyond belief by today’s events and Chris and I hope that if you have anyone in that part of the world, they’re doing ok.

… not Bridget. The role has gone to Friday Night Lights actress Adrianne Palicki. Considering the timeline, I can’t help but feel that David E. Kelly already had her on a short list of actresses he was interested in seeing get the role. However, this does give Bridget more time to work with Camp W. as well as promoting The Best and the Brightest. Congratulations to Adrianne, I hope the show is fantastic and gives an entirely new generation of girls a strong female heroine to look up to.
The Wonder Woman Script is officially out! What does this mean? From here the script gets sent to agents/managers and they and their actors decide if they want to go out for the role.
At this point we have no reason to believe Bridget doesn’t want the role and until someone official tells us something to the contrary, we’re going to keep on championing her for the role.
What can you do now? Contact David E Kelley Productions at the address below and let them know that you think Bridget Regan is PERFECT for the role!

Now that the dust has settled on the NBC Comcast merger, NBC has announced that it has ordered a Wonder Woman pilot from David E. Kelly! They’ve literally just announced the deal so it will probably some time before we hear anything casting wise. But, here’s hoping that the comments on every article mentioning how perfect Bridget would be as Wonder Woman gets someone’s attention.

On behalf of all of us here at HBE we’d like to congratulate Bridget on the birth of her daughter, Frankie Jean. We can’t think of a better Christmas present or way to start the new year!
We here at Her Blue Eyes would like to send congratulations to Mike Sussman for having the new show, Perception, picked up by TNT. Mike was the producer on Legend of the Seeker and is teamed again with ABC on Perception, as he was with LotS. The new show involves “an eccentric neuroscientist who uses his unique outlook to help the federal government solve complex cases.” Mike has really been great to Her Blue Eyes in the past and we wish him the best of luck in this and any other endeavors he may undertake in the future. We will let you all know when this show is scheduled to be on the air so you can tune in and/or set up your Tivos. Thanks for the support of the site, Mike, and we’re very happy for you!
First of all, Happy Birthday Bridget! Chris and I hope you have a WONDERFUL year full of joy and laughter.
I know that technically Bridget is nearly a day ahead of it, but people were sending me birthday greetings last night to be included in our project and I wanted to make sure I got them all in but I’m really sorry that this is kinda late. Though this does make me wonder about things like if she was born on the 3rd in California wouldn’t that technically be the 4th in New Zealand?
Anyway, I’ve added all of the birthday wishes to the gallery here: http://herblueeyes.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=36. In case you didn’t know, you can click on the image in the gallery to see it full size in a pop up window.
And thanks to everyone who sent in messages for our project! If you see your birthday message and you absolutely hate something about it (font, color, etc.) let me know and I’ll change it.
For those of you who didn’t know, Bridget’s birthday is coming up on February 3! Chris and I have come up with two ways for you all to show your love for our favorite girl. The first is, if you’d like to send Bridget a birthday message email it to me at Lindsey [at] herblueeyes.com and I’ll spiffy it all up in Photoshop and post a link to them on Bridget’s birthday. If you’d rather send something else like fan art or something along those lines I’d be happy to include it as well. All entries must be received by Saturday January 30 so that I have time to work on them.
Also, Chris and I have watched, along with the rest of the world, the devastation wrought on Haiti by the MASSIVE earthquake that rocked Port-au-Prince this week. It will take the Haitian people years to get over what has happened and we want to help. So for the next two weeks we will be taking donations via PayPal and we will donate all the funds we receive to UNICEF (Charity Navigator rating: 4 stars) in Bridget’s name. The donation account will remain open from now until Saturday January 30 and I’ll update the amount of money we’ve received so far on a daily basis. Click on the button on the left to donate. Absolutely any amount you can give will help. Please note that this is all done in US Dollars so if you’re donating internationally there’s usually a small bank fee.
