Hey guys, a few random notes for ya.

First up, The Best and the Brightest now has a website. There’s not a lot of information on it, but there is a form you can use to sign up for updates on when the movie will be showing in your area. http://bestnbrightestmovie.com/

Next, and I know I’m a bit late, Bridget’s eBay auction for Haiti sold for $3,350.00. I have to admit, by the time I got around to looking at the auction it was already far out of my price range. For all of you who bid, even if you didn’t win, you are AWESOME! This was such a great cause and I’m very proud to count myself among Bridget’s fans.

The Best and the Brightest Premier!
September 23, 2010 11:39 am

Bridget’s new movie, The Best and the Brightest, will be premiering at the 2010 Philadelphia Film Festival! The movie will show three times: Saturday Oct. 16, Monday Oct. 18, and Sunday Oct. 24. Tickets are currently only on sale to members of The Philadelphia Film Society but tickets go on sale to the general public starting Monday which gives us just enough time to make the following offer. If you live in the Philadelphia area and would be willing to go and write us up a review of the movie for use here on the site, Chris and I would happily buy your tickets to the movie. Email me at Lindsey [at] herblueeyes.com if you’d be interested.

The movie’s official page within the festival site is here: http://filmadelphia.bside.com/2010/films/thebestandthebrightest_filmadelphia2010. I had to pull an odd move to get a direct link so if it looks a little off, that’s why.

A joint effort between Twitter/Twitchange, eBay and Bridget herself brings us this package where the winning bidder will receive: Bridget following them on Twitter for (at least) 90 days, Bridget re-tweeting one of their Tweets and an @username response within that period of time. By her own discretion, Bridget can choose whether or not to continue following the winner after the 90 days is up. The proceeds of the auction go to A Home In Haiti. You can find all the details and bid here: http://item.ebay.com/300467715121. The actual Twitchange website can be found at: http://www.twitchange.com/.

It’s for a great cause and it sounds like a really cool prize so happy bidding!

Natalie Weiss is going to be the artist in residence at Ramiken Crucible Gallery in New York in preparation for Camp Wanatchi’s off-Broadway run. Art by Bridget and others will be featured. Anyone attending, please send us a write up of the event! It takes place on August 19th, 25th, September 1st and September 5th-6th for closing ceremonies. Various events are scheduled for each date. Anyone who goes, have fun! And if you send us a write-up, you will have our undying love and gratitude!

The complete list of events and all that will be going on can be found at Camp Wanatchi’s website: here.

And also, don’t forget to check up on the Shed 11 Costume House offers, real costumes worn in the show! The Shed 11 home page link has already been posted. Here is the link to their eBay storefront: http://myworld.ebay.com/shed11costumehouse/ Good luck getting a hold of some of these items you will undoubtedly treasure for the rest of your life!

Thank you, wolfi, for drawing our attention to this. For those of you who haven’t been reading the comments, wolfi pointed out this link to us at Her Blue Eyes. It is another recount of a Skype session with Bridget! It’s hard not to love her even more after reading all these recaps! Thanks again and anyone else who finds one of these that we haven’t posted yet, please feel free to draw our attention to it! Here’s the link: http://bitchslapfans.com/?p=1248

Well, yet another recipient of a Skype session with Bridget has posted about the experience and it’s a really good read. Particularly interesting is the story of how she got the Skype session in the first place! Bridget sounds like a wonderful woman again, of course, and this fan is obviously over the moon happy. Enjoy! The post can be found here:  http://sandimist.livejournal.com/4140.html

One of the people who donated $500 to the Camp Wanatachi cause and had a Skype conversation with Bridget wrote about it on their LiveJournal. Apparently, Bridget even stayed a bit longer than the 30 minutes she had agreed to. She sounds like the genuinely lovely person we all had her figured to be anyway!
