And the winner of international B&B DVD giveaway is…. Rebeca! Check your email and we’ll get your DVD in the mail to ya.
First up, we have Jess’s review of The Best and the Brightest:
~J.Grace
Many thanks to Jess for her infinite patience with us! There is a bit of a story that led to her not getting the DVD ahead of time as I had intended, but instead a few days after it was released. The best laid plans and all that.
Secondly, we have another copy of The Best and the Brightest to give away! As we promised, this contest is only open to non-US residents. (See? We didn’t forget about you.) Want to win? Leave a comment below telling us what project you’d like to see Bridget take on in the future be it more comedy, Wonder Woman, or something else entirely. Contest will close Monday September 5 at midnight and we will announce the winner on Tuesday.
Alright guys, the winner of our Twitter give away for The Best and the Brightest is….. SpartyOn07 (Sarah)! Check your DM’s over on Twitter and we’ll get you all set up.
Ok guys, today is the day! Bridget’s film, The Best and the Brightest is out on DVD! For those of you with the DVD, what did you think? And really, how awesome was Bridget?
For those of you without a DVD, how would you like to win a copy and do a little press for the movie as well?
Step 1) Follow us on Twitter: @hbe
Step 2) Simply tweet the following: “@BestNBrightest starring @BridgetRegan is out today on DVD! Want to win a copy? Follow @hbe and RT! http://bit.ly/nzJw17″ Or click here to have the status filled in for you.
The contest will end on Wednesday night, 8/17, at midnight central US time and we’ll notify the winner via DM as soon as we can. Contest is open to anyone currently residing on planet Earth. (The shipping to Mars is WAY too expensive. Sorry Martian peeps.) Good luck and happy tweeting!
The phenomenally wonderful Josh & Sommer from The Best and the Brightest have done us an altogether spiffy favor and sent us a pre-release copy of the DVD to giveaway! Instead of our standard giveaway contests, this one has a bit of a catch. We want to try and help create a buzz for the DVD leading up to release day so if you win we’d really appreciate it if you’d write up a review of the movie and the DVD special features and post it on Amazon.com as well as letting us post it here on the site. We’d also be sending it to the B&B team in case they want to post it on their site. So this also acts as a way for you to really spread the Bridget love to a wide audience, should you be so inclined.
To enter, simply leave a comment below, one entry per person. We’ll leave the comments open from now until midnight Saturday, July 30, and we’ll announce the winner on Sunday. Because there is a time issue involved, this contest is open to US residents only. (We’ll do another giveaway for our international peeps at a later date.) Good luck!
Hey guys, check out the official B&B press release! Also, you might want to check back here at the end of the month for something special and B&B related. Just saying.

Legend of the Seeker Season 2 is out today on DVD. Sadly, this time there is no nifty commentary from Bridget but there are 2 behind the scenes featuretts (neither involve Bridget) and there are extended scenes in a few episodes. My main complaint with this season, aside from the lack of extra Bridget, is that there is once again no booklet. I like booklets, especially when it comes to series on DVDs as they can provide nifty stuff like extra pictures and episode guides. Anyone else go out and pick up season 2 on DVD today? What did you think?
I know you are all sitting out there wondering, are the bonus features on the first season DVDs for Legend of the Seeker full of enough Bridget for me to buy them? As I have no idea what your specific Bridget requirements are here is a look at all the DVD extras that have Bridget, or Bridget related, things in them.
On the First DVD there are commentaries for the first two episodes featuring Bridget, Craig Horner (Richard),executive producer Ken Biller, and co-executive producer Stephen Tolkin. I’ve listened to many commentaries over the years where the actors can’t really remember what’s going on from one episode to the next so it was awesome to hear Bridget not only make jokes and references to other episodes from later in the series but to also here her reference the books the show is based on. She and Craig do a lot of the talking for the commentary and give a lot of insight not only into the episodes but also about how they got the roles and some of the pre-production work that went into the series. While Craig does go on and do another commentary for another episode, that’s it for Bridget.
