The winner of our most recent contest is……… Doggy28! Congratulations to Doggy and thanks to everyone for entering! Check back tomorrow for our next contest! Thanks to all who entered!
Time for our second Legend of the Seeker Season 2 contest! Just leave a comment here between now and Sunday night at midnight (Central Time in the US) and we’ll randomly select one commenter to receive a copy of Legend of the Seeker Season 2 on DVD (or the Amazon gift certificate equivalent). We are also more than happy to do iTunes gift certificates for the complete season if you live outside the US. We have a wonderful fan who has tested that out for us in the past and she had no problem redeeming the certificate through iTunes. Only one entry per person please. Good luck!
Well, we kind of expected this contest to be a bit bigger than it was. But we did receive very nice entries from two people, entries that both Lindsey and I liked a whole lot, so we’re giving the prize to both of them. The winners are Kiersten and Jason! Thank you for submitting your photos, it looks like a great time was had by all. Watch out for a new contest in the next few days! Thanks again!
The contest is now closed! Check back later today for our winner!
***Edit 9/11*** Our first few entries are up in the gallery and you can check them out here: http://herblueeyes.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=43.
Also, The Seeker Cast has yet another spiffy list of links up to all sorts of fun stuff from DragonCon for those of us who didn’t get a chance to go: http://www.theseekercast.com/2010/09/the-seeker-cast-36-fan-panel-from-dragoncon-2010-legend-chronicles-of-a-seeker/
DragonCon is coming! For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, DragonCon is one of the largest SciFi/Fantasy conventions in the US. The Seeker Cast has a spiffy list of all the planed Legend of the Seeker events here: http://www.theseekercast.com/2010/06/dcon2010/ If you are planning to attend DragonCon and want to do a nice write up for us to use here on the site, we’d be ever so grateful.
And, because Chris and I can’t go and see all the pretty Kahlans ourselves, we’re going to run a contest. We want pictures of Kahlans at DragonCon and we’re not above a bit of bribery to get them. Simply take a picture of a Kahlan or two at DragonCon and send it to us. We’re going to give away a copy of Legend of the Seeker Season 2 on DVD (or the Amazon gift certificate equivalent, your choice) to the best Kahlan picture. You have to have taken the picture yourself or you have to be the person in the picture and someone took the photo for you. Kahlan doesn’t have to be the only person in the picture, but she needs to be in there somewhere. It can be one Kahlan, a group of Kahlans, a group shot with 20 people and only on Kahlan… etc. Email your pictures to contests [at] herblueeyes.com by midnight on Monday, September 13 . We will put all the entries we receive up in the gallery for everyone to admire and you are welcome to submit as many pictures as you wish.
This is just the first of three or four Season 2 giveaways/contests that we have planned leading up to release day, so if you can’t make it to DragonCon, stop back by in the upcoming weeks to see what else we’ve got going on.
The winners of our Runway magazine giveaway are:
Sparty
Wolfi
Debbie
Sarah
Fuat
Congratulations guys! You should have received an email from me looking for your address. If not, please email me your addresses (Lindsey [at] herblueeyes.com) and I’ll get the magazine in the mail to you.
The contest is now closed! Check back later today to find out who the winners are!
An interview with Bridget appears in the summer edition of Runway Magazine. It’s a nice blend of fashion and Legend of the Seeker and there are some REALLY nice black and white photos with it. You can find the magazine in most of the major US bookstores and, oddly enough, in Target. You can also buy a digital copy of it on Zino, starting Tuesday, here: http://www.zinio.com/reader.jsp?issn=1945-2136&o=ext.
And, because we just love you all so much, we’ve got 5 copies of the magazine to give away! Just leave us a comment on this post within the next 24 hours to enter and we’ll randomly select 5 winners. We’re international friendly so if you’re outside the US feel free to enter.
You people are sooooooo funny. I’ve gotten several e-mails that have said, basically, “I don’t know what it is but can I have one?” To read about the iTunes Legend of the Seeker promotion go here: http://dadt.com/lots/news/2009_10_30.html
I’ve still got 18 iTunes gift cards for the download of the first episode of season 2 of Legend of the Seeker. If you’d like a code just send me an e-mail (lindsey [at] herblueeyes.com) and I’ll get it to you. I’m also happy to mail them to you, just give me your address.
If you’ve already received a code but you didn’t provide me with your address and therefore didn’t get a card in the mail let me know and I’ll happily ship the card out to you.
According to the cards the promotion ends on November 30 so I’m assuming that means the codes stop working then, so get them while you can.
Hey guys, for all of you who held off and didn’t e-mail me after I updated that post and asked that you not, I appreciate it. I’ve made it through my inbox, so if you want a card, let me know. lindsey [at] herblueeyes.com
****Ok, finally made it through my inbox, want a card? Send me an e-mail.****
So, in my quest around the metroplex this weekend I stumbled upon a VERY giving Cinemark that had stacks and stacks and stacks of the Cara version of the Legend of the Seeker iTunes gift cards. They let me walk away with around 25 of them. I, of course, don’t have any need for 25 Cara cards so what else am I to do except give them away to you all?
If you’d be interested in downloading the premier episode of Legend of the Seeker season 2, send me an e-mail at lindsey [at] herblueeyes.com and I’ll send you back an iTunes code. If you’d like for me to mail you the physical card as well include your address and I’ll get it to you.
I wound up not picking winners in the contest on Saturday as I had a TON of cards. So everyone who entered won and they’ve all already claimed their prizes. A big thank you goes out to Li from Brazil who spent a couple of hours this morning e-mailing back and forth with me figuring out how to make the codes work for non-US people. So any of you who are international, feel free to write to me and get a code and I’ll send you specific directions on how to make it all work.
So, I’ve got 3 extra Legend of the Seeker cards with iTunes download codes for the first episode of season 2. To enter, all you have to do post a comment here within the next 6 hours and we’ll enter you into the contest. We’ll pick three winners at random and e-mail you the code so you can download the episode and then we’ll mail you the actual card. Not too hard right? The comments will close after six hours so enter while you can.
For all you international type people, I think you’ll be able to use the code to get the episode from iTunes. I know you can use gift cards from other countries to purchase stuff from the iTunes from that other country’s store. (In other words, I can buy Japanese iTunes gift cards and use them here in the US to buy music from the Japanese iTunes sotre.) I don’t see why this wouldn’t work the same way so go ahead and enter. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work and we’ll pass it along to someone else.
The cards that I have are the ones with the picture in this post on them. I’m going to try and get my hands on a few different ones this afternoon so you all an have a choice, but no promises.
