Okay, we’ve had a lot of discussion recently that wasn’t over the specific episode being discussed. It was about the series as a whole. This gave us the idea that perhaps you all would like a place where you could be free to give your thoughts and opinions on LotS as a series. You can discuss things pertaining to any episode, character, actor, storyline, whatever. All that we ask is that you keep disagreements POLITE and do not deliberately provoke other members. Just be pleasant and enjoy a wide open discussion on our beloved Seeker and whatever is in your heart to post about it. We hope you find this a pleasant addition to the site and you can all have fun with it. Relive the adventure here among friends!
Note: This post will be stickied to the top, at least for the time being, in anticipation of a lot of you having a great deal to say about the show. So don’t worry about it getting buried pages back!

guys look this site http://next-episode.net/legend-of-the-seeker
legend of the seeker has been renewed for a 3rd season????is it true????
By Yasir, May 29, 2010 @ 7:33 am
I’m pretty sure it’s a fake otherwise we would have heard it from other channels.
By Yasir, May 29, 2010 @ 7:56 am
I’m still trying to accept the fact that we won’t have new episodes of LOTS for at least a while. Season 2 has certainly ended on a high but can’t help wanting more.
I do have sort of mixed feelings about season 2 being better overall than season 1. I mean the way this season started was just awesome and we have had a lot of good episodes, don’t think we really had any bad ones. However if I look back at season 1 while there were a few episodes I didn’t care for much but the ones that were good like Denna, Conversion and Reckoning were just too good (if there is such a thing
).
Personally I would have liked to see Richard and Kahlan alone together a bit more than after 20 episodes in the season and I’m not just talking about them cuddling or kissing just to work together and solve a quest or rescue someone…
By marietta, May 29, 2010 @ 9:43 am
check this site http://en.tackfilm.se/?id=1274833370284RA22 it’s so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
By Lindsey, May 29, 2010 @ 12:27 pm
@Yasir From having read the books I was REALLY happy that they were at least together most of the time! In the books they spend huge amounts of time apart, years in some cases. But I can see your point, their relationship was so important to the story it would have been nice to have seen it’s aspects explored a bit more.
By Kandus, May 29, 2010 @ 1:25 pm
Season 3, to be or not to be??? There has been a number of rumors recently about renewal but not through strong sources. What do you think of this?
If there would be season 3, I’d like Kahlan to wear her white dress more often again and less make-up, more like the Kahlan in season 1. If it’s not possible since a confessor wearing white on patrol is like putting a target mark on her back (and it also made Bridget trip up a number of times, thus, the costume change), then at least keep the make-up Kahlan-like. I think she would still look fierce and warrior-like with light make-up on. Don’t you think so?
And Yasir, as much as I’d like Kahlan and Richard to express their love for each other, I’d also like to see them apart again in ways that would make their love story more interesting. IMO, it’s more compelling to see a relationship struggles that way, that much painful yearning that would even make us viewers beg the heavens to give them a break of day for that elusive happiness how ever short lived. I know they’d struggled enough by not being able to express their love as freely as they want to, but then they were often together. I know it’s too dramatic and torturous, but I think it’s what made the book’s happy ending so sweet because the journey was too painful. And it would also draw out their individual strength while being apart like in Reckoning. With this scenario, I’d like this to happen after the happy consummation of the two lead’s love, of course. They’d be together then they’d be apart, and together again. But then it’s just me and my gut wrenching scenarios.
By Sarah, May 29, 2010 @ 3:42 pm
I think it will be a while if ever before we hear legitimately that there will be another season. Those announcements are probably based on rumors or typos.
ITA. I’d like to see Richard and Kahlan still be separated and put through the wringer now and then as well. Not for a season, obviously, but for those episodes needed for personal growth and struggles. Especially now, given the happy ending and realization that they do have a chance to be together. Even the short, faux-reunion in Perdition was so rewarding after the time apart. Plus it’s better for all viewers if the truly great romantic moments are somewhat rare and dispersed.
And yes, more Confessor dress!
By Devynne, May 29, 2010 @ 6:25 pm
There was a commercial at the end of Seeker tonight, for the show, saying they were playing the entire second season for the summer. I assume it will start again next week – this is for the NYC area. I was wondering if they were going to keep showing it or what. So glad they are reshowing Season 2! My favorite episode was when they had to pretend they were the Prince/Princess. Zed as the “aunt”, Richard with blonde hair, Cara pretending to be a Princess and not being able to make up those poems. I was laughing so much!
By Purplexion, May 29, 2010 @ 8:17 pm
Thanks Lindsey and crew for opening up this section. I hope I didn’t contribute to the derailing of the episode threads too much.
I just started reading the books. I have found that I wish I had read at least one before seeing the show. I like to get the idea of how a character looks in my head while reading. I can’t get Bridget’s look out of my mind which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it kind of detracts from my book experience.
If I described that well enough, has anyone else had these thoughts? If you read the books first, did the actors/actresses look like what you envisioned?
While I certainly liked Craig Horner’s portrayal, I see Richard with a different look while reading, maybe a little bigger and more rugged looking. I kind of draw a blank with the book Kahlan like she’s a faceless character. =( Except for the blond hair in the book I think Craig Parker portrayed Darken Rahl EXACTLY how I see him in my head while reading. How bout you all?
By Cait, May 29, 2010 @ 9:17 pm
I started reading WFR Tuesday and I am at the part where they meet Rachel. I decided that I would read the books after I had seen the seasons just because I know how different the books are from the show and I’d rather have seen the show first and then read the books. I had to laugh trying to picture Craig Parker blond.
By Lindsey, May 29, 2010 @ 10:45 pm
@Purplexion Nah, it’s ok. That discussion just pointed out to Chris and I how much we needed this thread.
By Yasir, May 30, 2010 @ 8:21 am
@Lindsey
Richard and Kahlan do indeed spend a lot of time apart in the books and while this may sound a bit cheesy but they were always together in their hearts. I mean the essence of their relation-ship in the books is they always loved each other regardless of how close or far apart they were. It was nice to see them together a lot in season 1 but at the same time Reckoning showed us their love across time as well which goes back to the essence of their relation-ship in the books I think. I can’t decide which I would rather have so a mix of them being apart and then being together would have worked..kinda like the Light, Dark and Perdition story line.
By Yasir, May 30, 2010 @ 8:32 am
@Kandus
I do agree with you about Richard and Kahlan being apart as I loved Reckoning which I mentioned in the post above. The problem I see it is that in the tv show I just don’t see how the writers can keep Richard and Kahlan apart for long with the limitation of having standalone episodes. The most they can do is what they did in Light, Dark and Reckoning. Also the fact that we have 4 lead characters in season 2 the focus can’t be on Richard and Kahlan. No offense to Zedd’s fans but in Reckoning the writers quite conveniently got rid of Zedd in the first few minutes and focused entirely on Richard and Kahlan and their struggles being apart from each other which made that finale outstanding in my mind. Ideally I would have liked to see a bit more focus on Richard and Kahlan both with them being apart and struggling with their love and also together doing a quest the way they did in season 1. Of course that wouldn’t have worked so well for Cara fans, just one of the issues by adding another lead character. Not saying Cara was bad by any means I think she was great and Broken and Hunger are some of my favorite episodes just that because we had a new character who was interesting and had to be built up this season it was a fundamental change between the two seasons and it was hard to kill off Zedd and Cara in one episode to focus on Richard and Kahlan.
By tmae, May 30, 2010 @ 9:09 pm
I read all of the books many years ago and loved them, although they were incredibly graphic and difficult to get through on occassion, especially the later books. I agree with the idea that Craig was not the ideal fit for the literary version of Richard. He lacked the size and intensity. He and Bridget were about the same height and that was not supposed to be. I did picture Kahlan something like the way Bridget looks in the show and I think she did a great job. Beyond the characters and the world Terry Goodkind created, I don’t think it’s fair to compare the two. But the one thing that I thought rang true from one to the other was the romance between Kahlan and Richard, which they did a wonderful job with. I felt like I wanted more of that in season 2 and was only getting it in little side comments and knowing looks between them without any real substance. I know they had to focus on other things or the show would get old, but that was the crux of the whole show from the beginning for me.
BTW – I will be going to the Camp Wanatachi concert on Thursday and the VIP event after. Will let you know if Bridget was there and how it went.

@Busse Actually, there was apparently a big sale in the last two weeks where they cleared out most of the props from the show, Dayna went and grabbed a few things and supposedly more will be showing up on ebay here in the next little while.
By Alex, May 31, 2010 @ 5:36 pm
I hope they make enough money :/
By Kandus, June 1, 2010 @ 6:07 am
I don’t know about this, and it saddens me more. A sale on their props like the bag pack and the daharan (sic), two of the most used props in the show? It sounds they’re moving on. Can anyone ask Dayna why this is so? I’m still hoping for season 3. Hoping the fight still goes on.

Ladies and Gents,
Don’t lose faith! SavetheSeeker website just released good news. Ted Raimi has said for all of us fans to hold on, Directv and CW has expressed a lot of interest in picking it up for a third season and Terry Goodkind sent a message yesterday saying we need to “Keep pushing”
By Dennis, June 1, 2010 @ 2:04 pm
@TheHouseofRahl,
Good to hear someone with a positive attitude. But the people on this site gave up long ago.
“I’m sorry guys, if there was even a small chance the show could be saved we’d jump all over it.” (posted April 29 by site admin)
By Alex, June 1, 2010 @ 2:41 pm
@TheHouseofRahl
I hope ur right about CW or direct t.v picking the show up….that would make my wish come true for Lots to get a season three.
By Alex, June 1, 2010 @ 2:43 pm
Since they are rerunning season two on t.v what if they get more viewers from the reruns since more people probably have herd of it now, will that show that they need a season three?
By Patricia, June 1, 2010 @ 3:31 pm
@Dennis. I haven’t given up.
I’ve been writing my letters, though probably not as many as others but I do still write.
By TheHouseofRahl, June 1, 2010 @ 3:50 pm
@Dennis, I am not sure who or what site you are talking about, but I am seeing millions of people fighting everyday. You as a single person can do what you want or follow who you want, but I am amongst MILLIONS in this fight and we will save our Seeker!
By TheHouseofRahl, June 1, 2010 @ 4:19 pm
@Dennis, btw, that wasn’t directed at you specifically. It was for anyone trying to harbor doubt.
By Dennis, June 1, 2010 @ 4:33 pm
@Rahl, Oh listen brother, I’m full-on in this fight. I’m with you. I was quoting the admins on THIS site… this BR site… who posted back in April that there wasn’t even a small chance left (in their opinion… not mine).
By Lindsey, June 1, 2010 @ 5:02 pm
Actually, that was what we were told by people involved with the show. I never said you had to quit fightig, but we weren’t going to lead you down a path that was, to the best of our knowledge, hopeless.
Also, a note over CW stations, most of the CW stations in the major markets are owned by Tribune who has already said they won’t pick a third LotS season.
By TheHouseofRahl, June 1, 2010 @ 5:26 pm
We will get ours….I promise!
By ellis, June 1, 2010 @ 11:11 pm
does anyone know how love scenes work? like are they coreographed or does the director just say “go at it”?
By Robert, June 2, 2010 @ 7:51 pm
It will be an absolute travesty if LOTS is not renewed for a 3rd season, as it appears to be the case, although I, too, am not giving up.
Bridget’s acting is superb: see Season 1′s Finale and Torn, in particular, she is both sweet and nurturing and yet very strong.
Tab’s acting is also very good, and while the writing limits her more, she does a great job with her eyes, facial expressions and body language.
Craig Horner has improved from the beginning of Season 1 to the present, and I especially liked his acting when Denna was torturing him (wish I had his abs/bod, LOL!) and when he was dealing with Kahlan through that low, tiny door/jail opening. Hard for him in some respects when he is surrounded by great actresses who are so hot, and by Craig Parker & Bruce.
Just a note: Jessica Marais, who plays Denna (a fave of mine) has already won some acting awards in Australia, and I love her acting (not too hard on the blinkers, LOL!)
I also like the acting by Rhys-Davis who plays Richard’s father.
Don’t you guys like Emily Foxler a lot as sister Nicci? I like her even better than Jolene Blalock.
And I also like Laura Brent as Dahlia and Elizabeth Blackmore as sister Marianna.
Unlike some others, I have always like Bruce Spence and think he is perfect as Zeddicus. It is hard to play the role of a Wizard without it being “campy” which Xena episodes were, and he has pulled it off as a serious character.
Am praying to the “Creator” for Season 3…
Best regards always,
Robert
By Robert, June 2, 2010 @ 8:59 pm

Season 1: Puppeteer, Cursed, Finale (episode 22)
Season 2: Broken, Torn, Walter, Tears Finale
But love all of them, really…

In case you guys haven’t heard yet…Bridget Regan has NOT been released from her Legend of the Seeker contract. This was just revealed in her interview today with Hollywood Life. http://www.hollywoodlife.com/2010/06/02/bridget-regan-legend-of-the-seeker-actress/
By Chase, June 2, 2010 @ 10:58 pm
It’s time for LOTS to be on the BIG Screen! what u guys think?
By Yasir, June 2, 2010 @ 11:06 pm
Yes Bridget is not released from her contract yet since I believe it expires in mid June and as she said herself in that interview she knows it’s coming. I would hope it never comes as much as any fan of the show would since I want nothing more than to see Bridget dazzle us for at least a few more seasons but at this point it’s just hope…
By Jasper, June 2, 2010 @ 11:09 pm
I think the whole process of axing LOTS is just so surprising for everyone, even the stars of the show!
can’t help but think that someone is behind all of this.
HAHA.
By TheHouseofRahl, June 2, 2010 @ 11:36 pm
@Yasir
If you couple that along with the producers telling the actors to keep themselves “available,” then we might just have something. I am not a contract guru, but I believe when something is supposed to be dead and over, the contract can be exterminated immediately. Why would they maintain her contract if LotS has been axed since months ago?
By kandus, June 3, 2010 @ 2:12 am
@TheHouseofRahl: thanks for sharing. It’s good to hear Bridget being more open about the cancellation of LOTS and her feelings about it.
I think there was an interview about Tab at the beginning of season 2 that her contract with LotS was for 5 to 6 years. So I would expect it’s the same or even more with Bridget since she’s the one of the lead cast. If it’s true about Ted Raimi saying that some channels are interested with LotS then it’s sensible to hold the actors with their contracts should it pull through. I supposed it’s not really over until it’s over. But Bridget saying it’s coming soon (end of contract) gives out mix meaning. It’s really painful to speculate. I hope there will be some official news ( preferably good news) about the status of the show soon.
@Chase: It’s nice to have it on big screen but I personally likes it to be on TV. With movies, you can only see them once but with TV, it’s every week for years. I just couldn’t get enough of them.

THIS ^^^^^
By Yasir, June 3, 2010 @ 8:19 am
@TheHouseofRahl
I would say it’s for the same reason they haven’t officially announced canceling the show. As Bridget said she got a call and was told that the show will not be renewed. Of course there is always the fourth dimension in that things can change with time and I would assume ABC/Disney will hold on to the contracts until the last minute just in case something comes up. However it would have to be nothing short of a miracle since all things point to the fact that ABC is not doing anything to change the outcome. Of course this is speculation but my point was that the headlines of the interview and Bridget’s words were not the same and I would more likely go with Bridget on that. It doesn’t mean we should give up hope since that’s pretty much all we have now as no one (not even a seeker, confessor, first wizard or a mord-sith) can predict the future…
By Dennis, June 3, 2010 @ 9:51 am
I can predict the future:
Bridget and Tabrett both are going to have big careers.
By Yasir, June 3, 2010 @ 10:18 am
@Dennis
A prediction based on very real facts that they both are splendid actresses and deserve nothing less. We just don’t have such facts to make a prediction on the show’s future, the only fact we have at the moment is that the show will not be renewed. However we can go with faith for a bit knowing that this show definitely deserves to be renewed…

The show is not being renewed at the moment, that is pretty much a fact otherwise we wouldn’t need to do a save our seeker campaign. It doesn’t mean the show can’t be renewed a few weeks or months from now which is what some of us are trying to do and hoping we can make it happen…
By TheHouseofRahl, June 4, 2010 @ 1:19 pm
We’re definetely making it happen.
By Alex, June 4, 2010 @ 2:37 pm
@ Yasir
Y do u have such a negative attitude towards legend of the seeker not renewing? A lot of people are trying to get Lots another season and we can only do that if we have all of our hearts and minds in it. We all need positive attitudes and wish with all of our hearts that Legend of the seeker will renew!
By Yasir, June 4, 2010 @ 3:33 pm
@Alex
I think there is a difference in realistic attitude vs negative. I’m only accepting the reality that the show is not being renewed “at the moment”. I’m one of those people that have sent letters and still doing my part into making more awareness about the show in the hopes that we will get a season 3 and more. I’m sorry but I’m not one to shy away from the facts just because I don’t like them but would rather face the truth and then try to do what I can in my power to change that.
By Alex, June 4, 2010 @ 4:35 pm

I’d just like to thank Craig, Bruce, Tabrett and especially Bridget for bringing my favorite characters to life and making my Saturday afternoons one of the high points of my week. As I type this, I’m listening to “Marked” and just thinking about how awesome it would be to see the entire book series played out to the finish. I wish everyone involved with the series nothing but unlimited success & happiness.

Bridget had not gone back to red yet? Interesting.
By Kandus, June 7, 2010 @ 3:25 am
Is there new news about LotS? Any development at all?
About Bridget staying brunette. IMO, I think B should stay brunette because it suits her well. I think she looks better with dark hair than her natural red. It did really worked out and she became popular as such. And I bet she’ll stay with that color even after LotS. Actress like Winona Ryder was naturally blonde but dyed it brunette, and she’s been known with that haircolor ever since. But then again, it’s B’s hair and her burden to keep dyeing it. If she gets back to red then so be it.
Still hoping for some positive news regarding LotS.

Thanks for the link Kandus.
I put her name in for WW on every board I can. She is perfect for that role; fresh-faced, tall enough, physical enough, and has experience in fighting and action, obviously, to go along with her superior acting ability. They’d have to be nuts not to put her on the short list.
By Alex, June 8, 2010 @ 3:35 pm
Can someone please tell me whats going on with Legend of the seeker? I keep on getting mixed signals from other people saying that there is going to be a season three and some say there is no chance.
By Yasir, June 8, 2010 @ 4:23 pm
@Alex
I can tell you the facts as I know them and you can make up your own mind. In March Tribune (which owns a larger number of channels LOTS comes on ) announced that they will not be picking up the third season of the show. This didn’t mean the show was canceled simply that if ABC/Disney decides to make a third season it will not air on Tribune owned channels. From what we do know ABC shopped around for other stations that will buy the rights to run season 3 and SyFy was interested in that but they weren’t able to reach an arrangement with ABC and passed on the show.
After that we got reports from some respectable journalists in the field who said that the show will not be renewed for a season 3 based on their contacts in Disney. None of this is official however but since then Mike Sussman (writer/co-executive producer) tweeted that the quest is over and Bridget also said that she was told by the main writer of the show that seeker will not have a season 3. Since then we have found that the items from the show are being sold and available on e-bay. There is a huge campaign going on by some fans to try to resurrect the show and keep promoting it in the hopes that a network or a station will pickup the show.
There are other shows that have been saved by fans before so hopefully we will see a season 3 or at least a mini-series at some point but as of right now ABC is not making a season 3.

Bridget on LotS screening in Monte Carlo.
The video was taken through mobile and the sound quality is not that good but the video is. From what I can only get, she was thankful for the fans and the campaign but doesn’t know anything more about the status of the show. The producers will not be the ones producing it. And for the show to go on, somebody else has to produce it. I’m not sure if I get it right but it sound something like that. She has no other project after this trip (but will be traveling Italy with her BF) other the Best and the Brightest. I guess she’s still tied to the contract, huh?
Here’s the link but if it doesn’t work, go to YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVSG4UyTLNc
P.S. Bridget was so stunning.

has anyone else noticed that bridget never says the name of her boyfriend? like ever? she just refers to him as my boyfriend…..hmmm…
By kandus, June 13, 2010 @ 3:40 am
@ELLIS
Maybe he’s not from showbusiness. Bridget keeps him away from unnecessary prying from the media and reserve a little sense of privacy to their relationship. She can mention him as the boyfriend because obviously our girl is in love and just can’t help it, but avoids mentioning his name for his privacy. But I’m just speculating.

Ok, I know I’m about 15+ years behind, but I just got done reading Wizard’s First Rule and started Stone of Tears. After reading WFR I sure wish more of that had made it to the screen….obviously not the stuff with Denna so much, but it was all so much more involved in the book.
Have to say I coulda done without the dragon part….kinda cheesy and unnecessary =( but still!
I would LOVE to have seen more of those scenes come to life. I see now how they did twist a few things in with changes and all and I know adaptations can never match a book exactly. Just would’ve been fun to see them come alive….too many to list.
By Romy, June 27, 2010 @ 6:29 am
First of all I have to say, I love the series! After it ended I started to read the books. And I’m totally blown away!! I read Wizards first rule in a week or so… And yeah it’s true there are a lot of things, that aren’t in the series… but I have to say I don’t want it any other way. Because the books and the series are two different things for me. And I love both of it.
Maybe it’s because I first watched the show and after that I started to read the books.. I don’t know. But all in all the storyline and the characters are amazing and that is what we love about the show and the books!
So I’m still hoping that we get a third season! Until then I will read the books and I have 44 epic episodes to watch all over again.

After watching TOUCHED again after having the entire season as perspective, I thought I’d feel differently, but I didn’t. I really, really disliked that ep; it was easily my least favorite of the entire series. I hated the weird thing the actress constantly did with her mouth – that sort-of pouty look. Annabelle was a very unlikable character and I didn’t like that they gave her an out and let her be good in the end. To me it lacked that critical moment when she comes to her senses – instead they had her just all of a sudden being nice. Also, why does every confessor need to be good in the first place? They so easily could have explored the concept of an out-for-herself confessor as opposed to the out-for-the-greater-good confessor that is Kahlan. It could have been some excellent drama as they battled it out – with Kahlan angsting over really being the last confessor if something did happen to Annabelle. Does she try to protect her or does she take care of her?
And honestly, I could have lived with all this but two other things really irked me about this ep. The first was that they made Kahlan lie to Richard. It was completely and totally out of character for her to have done that. She lied in the first season (during DENNA when she told him she didn’t share his feelings) but that was completely understandable given the circumstances. It doesn’t irk me so much that she lied because nobody should be held to that level – never ever lying – but the circumstances that Kahlan lies to Richard needs to be epic, world-altering. Instead it was because this annoying little brat confessed him. It didn’t seem like that was an important enough event for Kahlan to lie to him.
The other thing that disappointed me was that beginning with IDENTITY, we’ve known that “of all the magic in the world, none is more powerful than love.” We saw what their love is capable of in HOME when she brings him out of the trance, in DENNA when he can’t kill her, and in CONVERSION when the ConDar is evoked after Rahl threatens to confess Richard. But then in this one, this little brat confesses him and he no longer loves Kahlan?? Their love is supposed to be above everything else, unconquerable, unending, impervious. I didn’t mind so much that he was confessed but I had hoped that somehow their love would stay intact on some level. And apparently so did Kahlan because I’m assuming that’s why she agreed to have sex with him – but when he told her how he felt she couldn’t go through with it. I was annoyed for two reasons – first that she’d be so naïve to begin with but also because there wasn’t some remnant of their love still left between them.

I don’t necessarily disagree with everything you said since I had some of the same feelings especially with Richard being confessed. I will say that not all confessors were good in the show the mother confessor before Kahlan and the confessor in Denna who liked white roses as an example. Sometimes the writers have to create a wow moment in the show such as Richard (and Kahlan) being confessed or Richard and Cara dying. I love the show overall but I did feel that in season 2 they used a bit more magic as a plot point than I would have liked. As magical a world as Terry Goodkind created it still was governed with it’s own laws and it wasn’t like anything was possible. Dead was dead and even though spirits could cross the veil in certain situations but they could never be resurrected, breath of life was just CPR and a confessed person loses his/her soul and probably still stay confessed even if the confessor dies (I say probably since there is some debate around that point). I would have liked it better if it wasn’t so easy to bring people back to life, the scene in Resurrection where Richard died wasn’t too emotional to us or anyone in the case since they had just seen Dennee being resurrected. Also the scene in Tears when Kahlan stabbed Richard would have felt a lot different to me if I didn’t know that Cara was right behind…I’m not saying it was bad since any scene where we get to see Bridget’s talent is amazing even in Touched the way she acted with feeling apprehensive about wanting to go through but then convincing herself it’s Richard and what they have always wanted she just played it perfectly.
I can’t really blame the writers too much since some of it has to do with syndication and standalone episodes. You have 40 minutes to create a problem, show a little bit of R/K romance, have some Cara moments (in season 2), make sure you have at least one fight scene, see if you can squeeze a horse riding and a scene depicting the beautiful landscape of NZ and oh make sure the problem you created has a solution before time runs out.
Considering these restrictions/requirements the writers did great for the most part..

@Yasir,
I understand what you’re saying about the writers being able to get all that done in a 40-45 minute episode, but I think for the most part they did a pretty good job, especially in the second season. I loved the pace of almost every ep; it wasn’t always action and epic battles but also plenty of character and plot development too. And, it never seemed rushed or unfinished to me.
I really disliked TOUCHED, but I do agree that Bridget’s and Craig’s acting skills are the only things that saved it from being really awful.
They handled that scene so well.

I read all of the books before watching the show,and to this day they remain my absolute favorite novels ever. Richard is without a doubt hands down the greatest portrayal of a hero I have ever read about. And I mean over the course of the entire series. I was actually shocked that i love the series so much, because it is so different then the books but the actors portray the characters to a T. Craig Horner was difficult for me…I did not see him as Richard until the episode when he was fighting to prove Cara had changed. By the end of that ep, i was thinking “wow, Craig Horner is Richard Rahl!” I was angry in touched…until the moment when Richard told Kahlan he loved Anabelle “as much as i ever loved you.” So in a way that validated his love for Kahlan that even confessed he loved her as much as the woman that had confessed him. There are only two things that bothered me throughout the entire show, and I still cannot forgive. The episode when the boxes of Orden corrupted Richard (he was uncorruptable in the books, even by Orden) and the “fury” episode when they had him murdering 100′s of people, and the rage of the sword controlled him. The “books” Richard would have been stronger than the sword, and pretty much was from the beginning. Those were the only things unforgiveable to me because i felt they defaced the character of Richard. Still think the actors portray the characters I love EXACTLY though
of and BTW at the end of the first book Kahlan wants to kill herself because she thinks she confessed Richard, and tells him it is the only way to free him. Just a little friendly reminder.

I forgot to mention that I did hate that they had Kahlan lie to Richard over somethin so miniscule. But to me it was a forgiveable episode compared to the ones that defaced Richard’s character.

I have watched some other movies that had some magic and large budgets.
Can you imagine how great it would be for a major motion picture for LOTS, with a budget of over $50M ?
If they can do such a great job on episodes that “only” cost $1.5M per, what a great job they could do for a movie.
I hope they do either a movie or a mini-series soon enough that Bruce Spence can play Zeddicus in it, as he is in his 70′s, I believe.
And that they use the same actors for Richard, Bridget, Cara, and Denna.
Sure hope LOTS is not finished.
Today’s episode of “Torn” was so fantastic, with Bridget doing a superb job of acting.

Torn is pretty much Bridget’s favorite episode and for good reason. It’s the one episode where Bridget really got the opportunity to shine and she certainly did just that. I only wish there were more episodes like Torn but at least we will always have that..
