Legend of the Legend
April 29, 2010 11:47 am

Ever since Entertainment Weekly posted that Legend of the Seeker was canceled Chris and I have been watching the fandom tie itself into knots trying to figure out what do do. People quoting various sources, coming up with new campaign ideas, and asking why HerBlueEyes.com has thrown in the towel when there’s still a chance that the show could be saved. I had no idea when I originally posted the list of Tribune stations that we were going to become a leader in trying to save Legend of the Seeker. This has put us into a bit of a quandary because we don’t want to give you all false hope, but we don’t want to give up if there’s even a chance to save the show.

I wrote to my sources and while everyone involved appreciates all the effort that people have been putting in to getting Legend a third season, the show is canceled and nothing short of divine intervention will save it. At this point, there is nothing that we, as fans, can do to have it brought back. I’m told that considering the impact the economy had on local stations, we’re lucky that Seeker lasted as long as it did. They knew the final episodes of this season might have to serve as the series finale so we will get some closure in these last few episodes. But this really is the end for the show.

I’m sorry guys, if there was even a small chance the show could be saved we’d jump all over it.

Is not possible that happen that that has happened with “Star Wars” ? and find a new producer?

  • By penca, April 29, 2010 @ 12:35 pm

    NOTHING OFFICIAL¡¡¡

    Keep Fighting¡¡ ;)

  • By Lindsey, April 29, 2010 @ 12:52 pm

@penca The sources I talked with are about as official as it gets. Disney’s official announcement is just a matter of time.

  • By penca, April 29, 2010 @ 12:53 pm

Nothing is easy but nothing is impossible ;)

  • By fuat atalayer, April 29, 2010 @ 1:32 pm

“money money money, must be funny, in the rich men’s world”

as Dennis said keep on writing; at last we lose this battle while fighting :(

(to be honest with you guys, i have never been sorry about an ending of a TV show.)

it shouldnt be like this only 2 seasons? such a great potential, such a great story, such a great acting. it is too early. there are many shows not even average but still continues. not fair, not fair at all.

All I can say is unbelievable and what a waste. This is/was a great show that was never given the backing that it deserved. Just think if WGN would have given it the proper promotional time how many more viewers it would have had, with literally no advertising it still had over 2.5 millions of viewers. In my opinion it is a sad day in TV. I know lets come out with some more reality tv crap, then there won’t be anything on to watch. WGN killed Legend of the Seeker. IMO

  • By penca, April 29, 2010 @ 1:50 pm

    DONT GIVE UP, guys¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • By Flip, April 29, 2010 @ 2:13 pm

I knew with Tribune in bankruptcy and LOTS not be a sure bet it was a long shot. I was hoping to prove wrong. But I assume Tribune is a reflection of many at the local level too. Ads dropped off like a stone. Nobody at all levels working for free.
But I still have the right to turn off my TV set and kiss the media execs good bye. If you knew the stupidity Tribune did to get themselves in their position you see why LOTS is canceled. A compete debt ridden firm that had no place to go but in the toilet. Thx Sam Zell.

  • By Dennis, April 29, 2010 @ 2:20 pm

@Lindsey: “At this point, there is nothing that we, as fans, can do to have it brought back.”

THAT is — by definition — throwing in the towel!

False sense of hope? Respectfully Lindsey, hope springs eternal. Indeed chances are slim, everyone must know that, but Americans are tenacious and one should never underestimate how victory may be achieved.

Who’s to say that SyFy doesn’t become innundated with unprecedented fan requests that they don’t just buy the rights. Disney isn’t producing, just distributing.

HerBlueEyes has thrown in the towel… fine. I pray the rest of us fans carry on making it known that even if Disney isn’t interested, our dollars are still worth another distributor keeping it going. Thats my $.02

  • By mel89jo1971, April 29, 2010 @ 2:50 pm

I have not given up hope, I have been sending emails and using Twitter. It just really makes me mad that this great show has been put into the position. As fans we invest ourselves in the show, we become emotionally involved with the characters. It becomes our escape from the daily grind. There is so much crap on TV right now that it makes me sick.

Hopefully Disney/ABC and Syfy can come to an arrangement to give up more Seeker.

  • By Dennis, April 29, 2010 @ 3:26 pm

    @mel89jo1971,

Emails and twitter (whatever) is fine, but a hand-written letter is 10X more potent. Take 5 min, write a nice note, and spend $.55 on a stamp. Do this daily (I do).

Write to Seeker sponsors that you love this show and do buy their product.
Write to SyFy. Write to Disney (tho that ship may have sailed). Just keep making yourself heard.

  • By Michael Martinez, April 29, 2010 @ 3:47 pm

I think you’re looking at this too one-dimensionally. Whether we get a third season or not, there are other options. If we can show the production companies there is a serious audience here, somewhere down the road you might see a movie or a mini-series.

    Both options have been done.

You’re not giving anyone false hope — you’re participating in the fan experience. That includes passion and heartbreak, joy and misery, elation and depression.

I wouldn’t miss those ups and downs for the world — and I’ve been through plenty of ups and downs in fandom.

  • By Sam, April 29, 2010 @ 4:36 pm

I think you’re giving up too easily.

If you just don’t want to help save LotS you should at least provide a link to our pseudo-official flagship site, SaveOurSeeker.com(/.org) for the people who frequent this site that aren’t ready to give up.

  • By Dennis, April 29, 2010 @ 4:45 pm

    @Michael Martinez, VERY well put.
    You too Sam.

I bit of relevant trivia: The offical American holiday of Thanksgiving was the result of one woman’s letter writing campaign to President Lincoln. She wrote thousands of letters, and eventually won a national holiday from it. And that was just one woman.

  • By Sev, April 29, 2010 @ 4:52 pm

Lindsey & Chris, you’ve both done so much to help fight for a third season, it’s been nothing short of inspiring. Thank you.

  • By Lindsey, April 29, 2010 @ 4:58 pm

@Sam You all are more than welcome to post links to sites here in the comments.

  • By mel89jo1971, April 29, 2010 @ 5:02 pm

    @Dennis

I was so aggravated earlier I did forget to mention that I have sent letters too. I have some more ready to go.

I had read that hand-written letters is the best way to go. I just want to do all that I can to be heard and save Legend of the Seeker.

    Thanks

  • By Ginevra, April 29, 2010 @ 6:17 pm

First let me thank you for all you have done for the fandom. This was the first show I really became this devoted to. It touched my heart. Without your help we wouldn’t have known many of the places we could write to.

Second maybe we won’t get a 3rd season but look at Farscape and Firefly. Perhaps we can show the producers that there is a following and we can get a mini-series or a movie.

Whatever happens I will always love this show and share that love with others. Maybe someday I will see Briget, Craig, Bruce and Tabby at a con and tell them in person how much I enjoyed them bringing Richard Kahlan, Zed and Cara to life.

In the meantime I will continue to write letters in hopes that we may get more LOTS someday.

  • By chase, April 29, 2010 @ 10:48 pm

this is sad but we always have to find hope in everything. That’s what Richard thought us.

lets all hope for the best :)

  • By Sparty, April 30, 2010 @ 2:59 am

Thank you Lindsey for all the information. I don’t believe for a second that you are giving up (because you’re not), you are just being realistic. It is better to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best, then to be highly disappointed at the end. Obviously, none of us want the show cancelled. We can all keep on trying, but, because I don’t want to see anyone hurt, please realize that, realistically, you might not get the outcome that you want. Don’t give up!

  • By Sparty, April 30, 2010 @ 3:06 am

    P.S.
nothing short of divine intervention will save it.

I believe in miracles! (And for a little inspiration, just remember the show Jericho, which was cancelled and brought back by fans (might be a bad example) or JAG, which was cancelled after its 1st season only to be picked up by another network and last another 9 seasons)

  • By fantasyfan, April 30, 2010 @ 7:48 am

Your post was sensible and I think it’s time all of us Seeker fans accept the fact that show will soon be history. In my opinion, the cancellation was indeed confirm by Bridget Regan. When the fine actress said her farewell, I knew it was done. I am also issuing a plea. Do not give away hard earned money to try and save the show. All that said, I’ll really miss the show and the people who made it possible, who kept me looking forward to each episode. I’ll enjoy immensely the final episodes.

  • By Ralph Guadagno, April 30, 2010 @ 8:26 am

I truly understand feeling defeated, and that no matter what as a community we do it will not make a difference to Save Legend of the Seeker. But in Season 1, Episode 3 the people of the Midlands felt the same way about the situtation as we do right now. No one believed that there was any hope to defeat Darken Rahl, except for the Seeker who kept fighting when there was “No Hope” and in the end won the hearts of the people. Who did stand up to fight along side with him.
Some people might say, “Well this is a television show and not real life.” I will give you that case in point, but at the Battle of Bulge during World War II an American unit was completely surronded by the Germans. The Germans knowing there was no hope for the Americans asked for there immediate surrender. The American commanding office responded with one word, “Nuts..” And continued there fight. Another example would be the colonials who in one voice cried out in revolution against the English. In which gave all of us our independence in America. It was there hope of a free country, and there struggles that made us who we are today.
Hope is not something that is given and the struggle we are enduring to save our show has no guarantees to be successful. All we have is hope, and the ability to try to make a difference by writing letters, signing petitions, finding sponsors, and doing what we can to make a difference. So please look deep inside of yourself and find the strength to continue this fight. We need your help now more then ever.
Thank you for listening to the rants of someone who cares just as deeply about our show as you.

  • By Vadim, April 30, 2010 @ 10:04 am

I don’t understand you, guys. Lindsey and Chris already have done a HUGE support for a third season have come to life. More than any of you could hope for. And what know? Talking about some towels?? After what? The truth? It’s not about fan support (by the way, on the Petition site – don’t remember the address – there’s a petition for the third season, and it get 7k votes of 50k. After that I don’t believe in proper fan support), it’s about money! Does any of you have enough money to buy the show? It’s all they need know. And how do you want to convince other stations to buy it? With 7k votes while they need millions? Don’t be silly. And accusing Lindsey and Chris of stopping to support the show, while every single source is telling that the Legend is over, is just a disrespect for all they’ve done before. I think it’s time to thank Lindsey and Chris for all their efforts and wait for an official announcement.
And remember: willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one’s self. (c)

  • By fuat atalayer, April 30, 2010 @ 11:06 am

    hey all,

First, Lindsey and Chris has done everything they could and i am sure they are still keep on doing something to save Legend of the Seeker.

When i read the comments here, i could see that most of the fans reacted the same way; that is dissapointment, being mad/upset/angry/sorry, realising the fact that the result could be something that we all dont want to, but ABOVE ALL keep on fighting and try to reverse decisions made if possibble. (even that would be a miracle)

we may not get the 3rd season but there would be other options that were mentioned before by other friends. we might even get a movie who knows.

what i can say a.t.m. we need to keep on trying every possible way to make them understand that there is a community (an international community) here for this show and despite of the cancellation news we will keep on supporting.

    best regards,

    fuat atalayer

  • By Jim Heckman, May 1, 2010 @ 3:05 am

HerBlueEyes’ decision to throw in the towel was a most inappropriate time. It demoralizes an effort. All of their opinion is still heresay. Until somesort of official announcement is made, we should proceed on. So this message by HerBlueEyes should be ignored.

The effort will continue. Maybe money for a third season will materialize, maybe it won’t, but no one should quit to the last out of the 9th inning.

  • By fantasyfan, May 1, 2010 @ 8:56 am

Jim, I don’t know if the producers of the show will bother to at least give the fans a few words about the show, or what they might be working on to bring it back for Season 3. But, I really appreciate your post and raise my glass in a toast to all those fine actors who made the show watchable. Bravo!

  • By Jim Heckman, May 1, 2010 @ 4:02 pm

My previous comments should not be taken personal. I respect and am grateful for what the site managers have done. But I must go on to the end, whatever that will be. That is how I am. Successful or unsuccessful…its the cause that counts. I hope that the team LOTS will win.

  • By Snow White, May 1, 2010 @ 4:55 pm

@ Dennis @ Jim @ Fuat … and all the others – I admire you guys so much! You are so determined and persistant, and that is awe inspiring. I’m going to continue writing letters and trying to pull funds together. Like I mentioned before, it’s not over till the fat lady sings, or in this case, till the official announcement is made. Bridget even tweeted/ retweeted links to Save The Seeker! Dayna has also mentioned that whatever we’re doing is making a difference, so I’m keeping my hopes up.

@Lindsey – We appreciate all you’ve done. Although you say it’s over, I believe we can perhaps change somebody’s mind. Thank you for being frank with us though.

  • By Dennis, May 1, 2010 @ 7:23 pm

@ Jim Heckman, “HerBlueEyes’ decision to throw in the towel was a most inappropriate time. It demoralizes an effort.”

I agree, although I don’t mean to offend. Anything but determined optimism served to take the wind out of some people’s sails. Not everybody has the spirit of an entrepreneur, one in which the impossible is always attainable through determination and hard work, esp when “everybody” says it can’t be done.

As I’ve said, nobody could say where salvation may spring from, or when. Perhaps in a couple years somebody decides to make a movie, due to the fan clamor. Who knows.

Keep making your opinions heard, politely and passionately. And I mean no disrespect to the staff of this site.

  • By Jim Heckman, May 2, 2010 @ 1:24 pm

You must not give up. The fans must go on to the end. Better to have fought and lost, then not to have fought at all. There is a chance that we might win, some let us unify and continue forward. Battles aren’t won by armies quitting and losing morale.

  • By Colten Carver, May 2, 2010 @ 3:03 pm

You said that even if there was a small chance the show would be saved you would jump all over it. Now’s your chance because yes, there is a chance…

Dayna Porter is a stunt performer that works in Legend of the Seeker. She works in the dangerous scenes of Kahlan, and she is a Bridget’s friend too.

Today she wrote in her twitter those three messages:

    1) “All i can say is its not over yet for LOTS, there is 1 more very small chance and it is very very small, but its better than nothing”

    2) “what ever you guys are doing is obviously helping in some way, im not sure what else you can do, thank you”

    3) “Just dont give up hope till the official announcement!!!! Theres a reason why there hasnt been one yet”

Ok… What does this mean for us? I really don’t know but I think that there is hope. We must to fight for the Seeker. Now, they know that there are possibilities and that we are fighting for the series and for them.

So, I have to say again… Join our battle! Join this project and the other projects! (if you open the video in youtube web, you will see in the description, a lot of things that you can do for the Seeker)

Fight! Fight! Fight! It’s official, this is not over. Everything that we are doing seems to mean something. We’re gonna fight in an epic way.

  • By Aaron, May 2, 2010 @ 4:10 pm

Ok, FIRST OF ALL!. Why the heck are shows like House and 24 getting all the praise. SECONDLY. Legend of the seeker has a better plot than all of those other stupid shows on t.v. put together. THIRD OF ALL.Legend of the seeker has brilliant actors and producers.AND LASTLY. I’m PISSED!

  • By Lindsey, May 2, 2010 @ 4:21 pm

@Colton Both Bridget and Mike Sussman, the show’s producer, have tweeted that the show is over. I’m more inclined to believe them then Dayna.

  • By Colten Carver, May 2, 2010 @ 4:25 pm

But yet both Mike and Bridget support the save our Seeker campaign. ::shrug:: I’m not trying to ruffle any feathers, I’m just saying what I know…

  • By Colten Carver, May 2, 2010 @ 4:26 pm

I mean if you think I’m working against you or trying to be a bad guy you are mistaken.

  • By Aaron, May 2, 2010 @ 4:32 pm

    Now what?

  • By Aaron, May 2, 2010 @ 4:38 pm

We just continue on seekerless?? This is an outrage! I will stand for this bull!

  • By Aaron, May 2, 2010 @ 4:39 pm

I will NOT stand for it rather

  • By Regrix, May 3, 2010 @ 6:36 am

Just curious, does anyone remember a little show called “Firefly”? As a proud Browncoat I hold up that dear show as an example of what CAN happen if a fanbase sticks to their guns. Admittedly we didn’t get the show back, but we got a Major Motion Picture out of it anyway…

Until it’s next fall and it is 100% Iron Clad “No hope” time, I say fight on! We as fans have done the impossible before, we can do it again!

  • By Jason, May 3, 2010 @ 6:50 am

    Per The Torch Online:

Craig Engler at SyFy is getting beaten to death on Twitter by Legend of the Seeker fans angry that SyFy didn’t step in to save the series. This is just one in a series he rattled off Friday night. Link

  • By Dennis, May 3, 2010 @ 11:15 am

I dont really care what Sussman or Regan have to say about the current production — current matters are out of their hands. They have 6 year contracts, and presumably they want to keep working. So if/when some financier arrives to keep Seeker going so as to get the show into strip syndication and make the big money (thats where money is made; in strip), then I’ll care again what they have to say about the production.

I don’t get why some persons are wringing their hands together at every mention of the “hopelessness” or “finality” of this show. Where is your rooting interest? What is the motive? Or just pessimists…?

There is 10 trillion dollars circulating in the economy with investors looking for opportunities at all times, even in a recession. (I know this factually from the business I am in.) What fans need to be doing is getting enough attention onto The Show that somebody decides to invest in a 3rd season so it can get into strip. Disney be damned; there are other distributors.

  • By Deanna, May 4, 2010 @ 10:53 am

What makes me wonder if there is hope is that Mike and Bridget tweeted last week, saying it was the end. However, then we got that tweet from Danya and after that NO official announcement. Maybe it was all but decided and then something new came to the table – it is possible after all. For that reason alone I wouldn’t give up hope. If ABC wanted to put an end to all the speculation and fan furore they could have just made an announcement but they haven’t…why is that? Keep fighting to save the Seeker, even if we don’t get season 3 we may get some made for TV movies or a mini series. Who knows?

  • By fuat atalayer, May 4, 2010 @ 11:57 am

well Deanna, i totally agree with you. thats why we keep on fighting till the end. on twitter or anywhere else. until the official announcement is done. even if they cancel the show, we should keep pushing them. As Dennis wrote once (as far as i remember that was him) 80 countries 100 channel including mine. we may get a movie or mini series as you mentioned.

people keep on writing mails and letter to local TV stations. vote in twitter and trend #LegendoftheSeeker.

I cant believe they are doing his to us! i have sent in letters and emails but they just dont listen. I love Legend of the Seeker and they just took that from me and now i wont be able to watch t.v with out thinking that i used to watch LOTS on this same screen at four o’clock every sunday. When i found out about the cancellation i litteraly cried myself to sleep. My only wish in the world is to have legend of the seeker back…on a channel that people dont have cable can get. Please listen to the fans i have recommended LOTS to many of my friends and those who have watched it loved it. BRING LEGEND OF THE SEEKER BACK, DONT GIVE UP! :)

  • By Alex, May 4, 2010 @ 3:59 pm

If its money that they need than if we are all true fans why dont we all send in as much money as we can give up. Since there are appx. 2 million fans that means over 2 million $. Whos with me?!

  • By ravenwood, May 5, 2010 @ 10:07 am

Please don’t give up Blue Eyes! The Save Our Seeker site raised $8,000. Isn’t that impressive? Also, if we preorder Season 2 Save Our Seeker will get a percentage of those sales to add to the war wagon. I feel we need to continue to send polite letters and emails, and brainstorm creative ways to show Disney how important this show is. ABC should cancel its sad reality TV shows (think Wife Swap) and put their efforts into a show like Seeker that awes, illuminates and inspires. Take the sword of truth out of it’s scabbard and fight. Go a little Con Dar! Rise up and live life!

  • By deanna, May 5, 2010 @ 11:08 am

Even if we don’t get season 3, and I’m not saying we won’t, but the current economic situation in the TV industry is working against us, I do think that all the effort Seeker fans are putting in to getting a stay of execution for the show may help convince Disney/ABC that there is a viable market out there for a mini-series or some TV movies to continue the quest. No doubt SyFy would consider airing TV movies, especially as rumour has it they will be airing re-runs of Seeker in future.

The best Modern television shows are short lived on telovision, especially with major networks. Arrested development, winning Emmy after Emmy was shut down after just three short seasons. Futurama, four. Even such an influential American series such as Family Guy, was cancelled for years! I hope that legend of the seeker does not suffer that fate. With so many “Sword of Truth”novels, best selling, to base a series on what’s the hesitation? With “Lord of the Rings” being re-released on blu-Ray with excellent sales, why not try to hold on to that markets customers? It’s a great show, the only of it’s kind, and more importantly the only I watch on ABC. If legend is gone, so is my participation in the American Brodcasting Corporation. I am boycotting ABC, please add your email adresses so we can all boycot this station together for taking off the only series on televison worth watching. For judgement such as that is unappealing.

  • By Dennis, May 6, 2010 @ 12:44 pm

MSNBC missed the boat, and didn’t even represent Seeker. (Not that missing the boat is anything new for the goofball losers at that fake news networks MSNBC).

  • By Alex, May 6, 2010 @ 3:58 pm

well even if only $2 million dollars only gets us one episode if they start the 3rd season they have to finish it…dont they? :/

  • By Dennis, May 6, 2010 @ 5:54 pm

Don’t forget that with 3 seasons in the bag they can run it in daily reruns (called strip syndication). Thats where they get PAID. I don’t think any show has ever entered strip without at least 3 seasons, because they want to be able to run one per day for 6 months before having the whole thing start over again. Disney is 2/3 the way there — just compromise with SyFy and get the 3rd season made, so you can go to strip and recoup your investment. Sheesh.

  • By Deanna, May 8, 2010 @ 6:50 pm

All is not lost guys. Terry Goodkind saw the ad in Variety and has announced he is backing the campaign and will do what he can to help us save the show. It looks as though the sponsorship deal will go ahead, as long as ABC agrees to it, and there will be merchandise with LOTS logos and competition in the stores by the end of May.

  • By Alex, May 10, 2010 @ 3:20 pm

how come smallville gets 9 seasons but legend of the seeker may only get 2? I dont see how fair that is…im sure smallville started out just like LOTS so all that im asking is that Legend of the Seeker gets a chance to survive. :’(

  • By Mr. Nikk, May 12, 2010 @ 7:37 pm

I’d like to share a story with everyone if I could. I’ll try to keep it as concise as possible, but I doubt I will.

In 2001, I was trolling around a bookstore, looking for a new fantasy novel. I saw a book called Soul Of The Fire and picked it up and bought it. It sat on my shelf for about seven months before I decided to pick up…and then noticed that it was the FIFTH book in a series called The Sword Of Truth. The next day, I went to the bookstore and bought Wizard’s First Rule…and it sat on my bookshelf for about a year.

As I was preparing for my boring 3rd shift security job, I perused my bookshelf for a book to read. One that I hadn’t read a thousand times. My hand landed on Wizard’s First Rule.

I didn’t get any work done that night. No patrols, no checks, nothing. In fact, I think I forgot to let some people in and stayed an extra two hours past my shift…because I was so engrossed in the book. When I did finally leave work, I camped out in a Borders parking lot until they opened and bought Stone Of Tears, Blood Of The Fold and Temple Of The Winds. And read & savored each book and the subsequent ones after that like they were handed down to me from the heavens.

When I heard that they were going to do a TV series based on Wizard’s First Rule, I have to admit, I was VERY skeptical. I heard they were going to change a lot of things around and the story wasn’t going to be note-for-note, but rather an adaptation.

I watched the first episode….and Legend Of The Seeker became my Saturday Afternoon Delight. Every Saturday, for two hours, I get to sit and munch on popcorn and be transported away to The Midlands. And then I heard that the show was to be canceled. And I got ANGRY.

I’ve been writing letters, e-mailing everyone I know who’s ever read the books or seen the show in the vain hope that someone will hear my pleas and save my Saturday Afternoon Delight.

I’m doing this because I believe in this show. And I believe in Terry and his books. They’ve brought me over nine years of pleasure and wonderment and I’m not ready to give that up.

We HAVE to save this show.

If Terry Goodkind himself is backing SOS, there’s hope. Terry’s put too much blood, sweat & tears into creating the SOT world and I know he wouldn’t let this go without a fight. That being said, SyFy will pick it up in syndication….then DVD sales will be through the roof and LOTS will be saved. SyFy’s got that kind of power.

@Alex – Smallville’s actually getting picked up for a TENTH season. I’m a Smallville fan & I love the show…but it’s time for them to wrap it up.

Oh and by the way, you are indeed missing out on that “small chance” the fan campaign is winning. Not only did we get the ad published, we have done many other things and we have been noticed. WE even got the full support of Terry Goodkind himself and ABC/Disney is indeed considering trying negotiations a second time. There is a chance and we are winning.

if we believe what we have been doing all of these days to get S3 (and i do believe) and if we keep on fighting in every possible way to get noticed we can (and i believe we will) win this one; we can get our Legend of The Seeker and BRIDGET back.
    Just keep on fighting.

I WILL NOT GIVE UP! I’m a fan of Legend of the Seeker, a first run syndication show produced by ABC-Disney. Legend of the Seeker is an amazing fantasy-adventure series that appeals not only to genre fans, but to mainstream viewers as well. The acting and production quality are outstanding, and each new episode has me on the edge of my seat! When I watch each new episode, I live it; I am there! I watch nothing else; surely I shall perish if that which I hold most dear is lost forever.

I started reading the books AFTER I’d already watched all of 1st season, & you know what? I can see everything clearly in my mind now as I read. I know the book has many differences, but so what! When I first read about Dark’n Ralls BLOND hair, I just keep seeing his black hair – nothing else.

    This shoe is the Best!

Hi there everyone, I’m not sure what the fanbase here in oz is however I had never heard of Legend of the Seeker until I stumbled accrosss trailer on youtube. I saw that clip and straight away fell in love with the show.

I guess one of the reasons I stumbled accross it cos I had just kicked my WOW habit and was quite bored, but that is another story altogether.

Why o why here in oz do we have a show like Merlin on prime time TV? Not that I don’t like the story about the arthuran legends, however in all honesty I have given Merlin a change however LOTS kicks butt all over it – there is no comparison! To be honest I don’t think the TV producers here in Oz have even considered this show here? I mean WTF there is a huge fan base!

My opinion is not enough publicity of the show there is so much more that could have been done all over the world. Oh and if WOW wasn’t around our fanbase would even be greater but like I said that is another story!!

But don’t the stations know that if they show this or sell it on DVD at least, it will be good for the economy and good for the stations themselves
