More Seeker But With Respect

Some in the LotS community have taken it upon themselves to try to drum up support for Seeker getting a new season by spamming and otherwise harassing sites in their comments sections. We here at Her Blue Eyes do NOT encourage this and actually think it is counterproductive, as people may not want to watch Seeker if they think we are pushy, demanding spammers. We all want Seeker back but we need to respect others and pick the right times and places to fight our battles. Please keep this in mind when campaigning for Season 3. Just a tip!

Tru. Polite is better than obnoxious in this case. (And I’m Mr. Obnoxious most of the time.)
But I’m keeping my letters to Disney, and comments online, as polite as I can.
We all must admit that fantasy as a genre is doused in cheese, so reputations preceed. Seeker is decidely UN-cheesy, but newbies don’t know that.
Also admit that the title “Legend of the Seeker” sounds cheesy and non serious.
The Show has had an uphill battle, which remains. We do ourselves no favors by adding poor manners to the burden of our Show.

I loved this show beyond belief and this news makes me so sad. It’s tragic, because it did not have to end, but was the result of poor marketing and a lousy time slot. So many visionary, creative and caring people were involved in this project and it’s ironic that this sort of genius goes unappreciated while truly horrid “reality” tv that depicts mankind at its worst and do nothing to illuminate or inspire continue wreaking havoc on the human spirit. I really want to thank Mike Sussman, Raimi and all the actors/actresses, designers, etc… for the gift of this show and I still hold out hope that somehow there will be some last minute reprieve and it will continue.
I’m a teacher, and this week my students watched “The Puppeteer” episode in school as part of our fantasy unit. All of my five classes applauded at the end of the episode and began to jabber questions at me about when is the show on, how can they get copies of it, etc… Disney/ABC definitely dropped the ball and could have worked with teachers because there was a strong curriculum connection since Terry Goodkind is a best-selling author and they could have sent educators copies of the script to perform in class with students and promotional posters, etc…
Maybe it’s not too late?
