Desecrated keeps the ball rolling. Rating: A.
This was an exciting, well done episode. The high point of this episode was when Cara, knowing she would be dead soon, told Kahlan that she considered her to be a friend. That was nice, and it was nicer when Kahlan returned the compliment.
To let Kahlan have more time to survive, Cara tried to commit suicide, but Kahlan stopped her. Fortunately, Kahlan one that closely fought fight.
Even nicer was the final scene, where Cara tried to recant her declaration of friendship. That was very Cara, but Kahlan knew better. They are friends, and they make a great team.
It’s amazing just how good Season Two is. LotS just keeps hitting home run after home run.

Now, THAT was a kiss!
I had noticed that she rarely ever kisses him first, but this one she did. Very romantic.

Desecrated had so many nice touches. Richard and Kahlan dancing at the beginning was sweet; Kahlan was having a really good time.
And when Cara told Kahlan that she considered Kahlan a friend, Kahlan told Cara that she considered Cara a friend, whereupon Kahlan gave Cara a hug (!!!) And Cara hugged back!!! Mord-Sith’s don’t hug!!
What a moment. Looks like Kahlan and Cara are Best Friends Forever.

SPIDER-MUMMY! That bandage shooting part was kinda silly, but I liked the episode overall. Reminded me of Venom in Spider-man. Maybe they could’ve killed the band-aid creature by surrounding it with pipes while banging on them and then exploding the dragon’s breath.
I can say if deej or someone else doing their recap doesn’t use the friendship declaration by Cara to infer a ‘friends with benefits’ line it’ll be a crime. =)
I do have a couple other things to say about this episode, but this is a PG site, so I’ll keep it that way. =)
By Yasir, April 11, 2010 @ 11:35 am
My sentiments exactly, when I saw the shooting bandages I was like here comes the spiderman-mummy. Also I am pretty sure Deej is going add “with benefits” in her recap.
Overall this was on ok episode, had some nice R & K moments with the dancing and Kahlan/Cara bonding (just as friends guys). The story had some holes but then you kinda have to look past that to enjoy the episodes, after all the writers only get 40 some minutes to create a problem and solve it.

That was a really sweet episode. The chemisty between Richard and Kahlan was spectacular! I LOVED the kiss… and the dance! Epic. The romance between them really is the heart of the show.
I thought it was really heart warming when Cara and Kahlan told each other that they saw each other as friends, and the hug was really awesome. I’m so happy Cara finally got a hug. She really deserved it. It was so thoughtful of Cara to be willing to give up her life so Kahlan could live longer. I think that really gave Kahlan a new light on Cara.
This episode was well worth the wait. A+ rating from me!

Good Ep! The first kiss between R&K was nicely scripted. Most of their contact scenes are more in desperation, after the have to leave, when they are reunited, when they come back from the dead, etc. This one showed their affection for sake of affection and thats it. Nice change. The kiss at the end, however, seemed a bit rushed into – if I had a loved one stuck in a tomb with out air – I am not sure it would be my initial reaction to lock lips – but the writers probably wanted to squeeze in one more affectionate scene – but the last one was less believable that the first in my opinion. Also – Zedd really looked buff in the mummy wraps – all i could think is this is a way to have Zedd in the scenes with out having to pay the leading actor- can you say stunt double!

I think we all want to see next Richard birthsday
By Hilda, April 12, 2010 @ 12:13 am
really good episode, love all the Richard and Kahlan moments. i like the begening while Kahlan and Richard are dacing, then Zedd ask Cara if she would like to join “I’ll rather fight a Gar..” thats hilarious. it is very Cara like.
they should do Kahlans and defenatly Cara’s birthday
By Haylie, April 12, 2010 @ 12:42 am
I love love love the Richard and Kahlan dance, there should be more scenes like that in the future. I also liked the part between Kahlan and Cara saying that they both care about each other, I thought that was real sweet. I can not wait for the new episodes and see what is in store for the gang.
P.S. I have noticed that their have been more PDA in this new season from the last season between Richard and Kahlan. Does it mean by the end of the 2nd season Richard and Kahlan will know they can be together without Richard losing his mind? (Just a thought)

It was a “fair” Ep. Maybe a B+ or so. For me, the story is everything. The weak part is how the plot was convoluted and unnecessary: if the magician wanted to kill those 5 kids he could have just thrown the teleportation dust on them whenever he had a chance; let them die in the crypt. This whole elaborate plan to involve the Seeker, Mother Confessor, the most awesome Mord-Sith, and Spider-Mummy… its just a bit goofy when you consider the story on its own merits.
But, they redeemed themselves with the sensitive girl moment, followed by an awesome girl fight, and then make up
sexcuddling. Yes, deej should have fun with this. (Why couldn’t some of their clothes been ripped off during… then make up with a kiss. !!)Gosh, I’m going to miss this show if Disney doesn’t “Make Dreams Come True” and renew it.
P.S. Funny how the girls on this board liked the dancing: my wife said the same thing during the show: “Oh that looks so fun, and sweet.”
By Rachel, April 12, 2010 @ 9:23 am
I loved all of the sweet parts. The Kahlan/Richard stuff was romantic… I just love them
Cara expressing her fondness for Kahlan showed just how much the character has changed. The acting was incredible. You could see how difficult it was for Cara to admit she liked/respected Kahlan. Beautifully done by both women.
I thought the mummy parts were a bit hokey, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I’ve already re-watched it. There is seriously nothing more entertaining than Legend of the Seeker. I’m praying for another season.
By Roekos, April 12, 2010 @ 11:33 am
I Loved every moment like the K & R dancing and the scene between Kahlan and Cara. The show needs more “people” moments….did anyone notice the Mickey Mouse shaped lock that Zedd broke out of at the end??? Look at it closely it had ears!!!
By Dennis, April 12, 2010 @ 3:56 pm
Roekos, I can’t believe you saw the mickey lock… it was only there for .03 seconds. But you’re right.
I uploaded a cap if it if anyone cares.

I enjoyed the episode. The interaction between Kahlan and Richard is always good. The best was the scenes between Kahlan and Cara. Cara gets the most wonderful lines. I’d rather fight gars. When she tells Kahlan “You were right this party is lots of fun.” At the end of the show when she tries to take what she said back, Tabrett does a wonderful job in her portrayal of Cara. Cara is a wonderful character.
When Cara tells how she feels about Kahlan was very nice, and then the proceed to kick the shit out of each other. What other show could pull that off? It just shows that she cared enough for Kahlan that she was willing to sacrifice herself. Cara has grown so much this season as a person and that is because of Kahlan, Richard and Zedd.
I feel that this season just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait to see how the next episode will be leading up to the season finale.
Legend of the Seeker is one of the best shows on televison and it is my favorite. Love it. Bridget is wonderful and rocks.

I enjoyed this ep & have to give it an A++.
I’m finding the weakest link in this program to be the writers. Many of the storylines are a bit hokey or easily pulled apart but, hey, it’s fantasy so we overlook these little glitches.
Acting from our favorite ladies was top notch.
Warm fuzzy moments between Kahlan & Richard, and also Kahlan and Cara were much appreciated. We need more of these moments.
Kudos to Daynamic Dayna Chiplin for the fabulous choreography of the fight scene in the tomb.
By Dennis, April 13, 2010 @ 10:34 am
@sheila, The tomb fight scene WAS EPIC (an oft overused adjective these days). I’m still talking about that scene with my friends two days later. Good stuff! These ladies are getting SO GOOD! (You hear that Disney — it would be a shame to pull the plug so soon!)
Does anyone happen to know: when Cara flips Kahlan onto her back (so cool!) was that Bridget or a body double? Thats some intense stuff.
By Lindsey, April 13, 2010 @ 4:54 pm
@Dennis The BBC tapped into the whole dancing = love bit a looooooong time ago. Just look at any of the Jane Austen movies/mini series from the past few years. They’ve all got that EPIC dancing moment in them.
I don’t know if any of you all watch Bones, but this whole episode reminded me of Aliens in a Spaceship. It was nifty to see it with a LotS twist.
There were some interesting morality issues brought up in this episode… very Saving Private Ryan in that regard. Not to mention the equality vs. meritocracy aspect of it all.
By Sarah, April 13, 2010 @ 5:11 pm
Definitely a stuntwoman (Dayna rocks)! I’m not saying Bridget isn’t fierce, but I highly doubt she could do a front flip like that even if they let her. I took a lot of gymnastics and won’t embarrass myself trying.
Does anyone know Cara’s stuntwoman’s name? They’re so awesome. Must’ve had a blast choreographing.
By sheila, April 13, 2010 @ 9:24 pm
Hi Sarah. The name of Tabrett’s stunt double is Min Windle.
These stunt doubles are among the best in the business. Dayna Chiplin is fabulous and Yes, she would be the one that took the fall in the tomb.Powers that be don’t usually let the stars do anything they fear can hurt them for fear of holding up production.
By Chase, April 14, 2010 @ 1:12 am
anybody knows the name of Richard’s double? just asking.
By sheila, April 14, 2010 @ 2:33 am
Hi Chase. The name of Craig’s stunt double is Allan Smith.
By Dennis, April 14, 2010 @ 9:18 am
