  • By Lindsey, March 4, 2010 @ 8:48 am

@Mange @Alexey and any other international type person, if you go to the station list the names of the stations are links, if I could find them, to either the stations email address or their online contact form. As long as you don’t tell them you’re not from the US they’ll never know.

  • By franky, March 4, 2010 @ 9:14 am

    German seeker fan, say hello!!!
Hope we get many more seasons ;-)

  • By Patricia, March 4, 2010 @ 10:14 am

I just sent off a couple letters to WGN and WTTV in Indy. Perhaps when filming wraps at the end of March, the producers could have Bridget and Craig stop in Chicago for an interview? I’m not so far away and would gladly go and show my support!

According to C&S Society, Tribune has decided to drop “Seeker.” Reportedly show execs are shopping for another broadcaster.

Too bad it’s ABC production; NBC is so down and out, “Seeker” would probably become their No. 1-rated show.

All is not lost . . . yet . . . but it appears the Imperial Order is knocking at the gates.

  • By Lauren, March 5, 2010 @ 12:06 pm

Sent and received the following email…
Perhaps we should be petitioning a cable station to pick it up instead of fighting for it on local stations???

    Dear Lauren,

Kudos to you for reading our core values. I don’t think that by failing to pick up “Seeker” for a third season runs counter to those values. I agree, the show does have a deeply loyal fan base…but it just isn’t broad enough. Not enough people watched the show to merit our station group picking it up again. Perhaps another media company will do so.

    Gary Weitman
    SVP/Corporate Relations
    Tribune Company

I have recently learned that Legend of the Seeker will not be renewed for a third season. I urge everyone at Tribune to reconsider this decision. I will remind you of your core values that you are ignoring, compete – “play to win” Seeker is an amazing show, please win the support of your viewers and bring back Seeker. “Take Intelligent Risks” – Seeker is such an amazing show, to cancel it after merely two seasons is a disservice to not only the fans, but the actors and the entire crew of Seeker, not to mention those at the Tribune company as a whole.
This is my first letter to a television company pleading for a show to be saved. However, if this show is not renewed, this will not be my last letter of displeasure.

    Thank you for your consideration,
    Lauren

I would be upset if they did not make a season three. This is the best TV-series i have ever seen. I’m from Norway btw. I will buy the DVD from all seasons if they just continue to make it.

  • By Xavier, March 8, 2010 @ 2:03 pm

This television show is one of the best broadcast I’ve seen for a long time. A good story line, characters are talented and play their role to perfection. There are so many show that should not be broadcast … But this is not the case with this show. It’s incredibly sad that a series such as Legend of the Seeker is canceled after only two years. The problem is the illegal downloads, this series is one of the most illegally downloaded on the internet. This is the reason why the viewers ratings are not representative of the interest of viewers for this series. Me, I live in Montreal and I recently discovered this show. I’ve fall in love with this show. I even buy the books”The Sword of Truth”and began to read them, and normally I hate reading! I hope with all my heart that this show will continue for a third season. I love it so much. Maybe some kind of spell could persuade you to give it a try for a third season?

    Xavier, Quebec, Canada

I’ve send this message … HOPE it may help a bit :S

  • By Autumn, March 8, 2010 @ 6:27 pm

I love the Legend of the Seeker. Its an amazing show, a one of a kind. There isn’t anything like it nowadays. The actors are amazing and play their parts accordingly. it deserves a longer life span on local tv for everyone to watch and enjoy. I am a loyal fan and will do what is necessary to allow my all time favorite show to be aired once agian. I believe this show has yet to reach its climax, it still has more to give. It feels unfinished, it IS unfinished! It would be a slap in the face to each and every actor and actress, all fans, and crew members if this show does not continue. For it to be forgotten and left to rot like it never mattered in the first place is just sacrilege. The TV companies need to take into account their fan base when deciding on whether or not to continue. Losing this show may result in losing fans. Someone please, please pick up this show and finish more seasons. It deserves it, and so do the fans.

  • By Xavier, March 8, 2010 @ 8:07 pm

This is the message they send you back when you send an e-mail …

    Xavier:

WGN America has chosen not to renew its licensing agreement with the show’s distributor. Unfortunately, the series did not attract enough viewers.

    Thanks for writing.

    George

  • By MERCEDES, March 21, 2010 @ 3:13 pm

I LOVE LEGEND OF THE SEEKER. PLEASE DON’T TAKE THE SHOW AWAY. THIS IS FROM MY GRANDAUGHTER SHE ABSOLUTLY WAITS FOR THIS SHOW SHE HAS GOTTEN ALL HER FRIENDS TO WATCH IT. AND NOW THEY ARE ALL OBSESSED WITH IT THEY TALK ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME.

  • By Crucifax Autumn, March 23, 2010 @ 2:50 am

The show MUST go on. WGN and Tribune will NOT have me as a viewer of ANY of their programming if they do not reverse their decision.

Both USA network and Fox have been banned in my home since the cancellations of Dead Zone and Sarah Connor Chronicles and I have not gone back on this even when it has forced me to abandon other shows that I enjoyed on those networks, and the same will be true of WGN/Tribune.

There seriously needs to be a network that places quality above all else. These intelligent shows have a particular type of viewer who is tech-savvy, smart, likely to read, etc. and thanks to this type of viewership, the shows like this are ripe for targeted advertising of books, games, computer products, and so on. Simple ratings are the old way of gauging advertising…With so many TV choices now, the more important factor is exactly WHO is seeing the commercial, not raw numbers or oversimplified demographics.

This show and cast are too good to be abandoned merely because the programming geniuses at Tribune are dumber than Pauly Shore on crack or 3 month old tomatoes in the back of the fridge.

And WGN…If you want shows to have a consistent audience and ratings, perhaps you should consider some novel new approach like a standard regular airtime and not pre-empting the show for the 6th Cubs game of the week. Not even baseball fans want to see the Cubs or any other team THAT much.

why isn’t cleveland listed? After all her mother is from Elyria twenty-five miles away.

  • By Pontus, April 21, 2010 @ 10:35 am

First off. This show is better than anything I have ever come across in TV, the concept is quite original (Thank you Terry Goodkind for writing such good books). Anyhow I got caught by it when I was just passing the TV in my living room, it was the 7th episode of season 1 and thought ” Hmmm, why not give this TV show a try, I immediately after the program was over went to search for Legend of the Seeker on the Internet since the show have just started in Sweden and I really wanted to watch more, I found where I could watch more of course and was hooked, more addicted really to anything I’ve seen and I don’t watch TV alot but when I find a program that I really, no extremely good I am stuck. One thing lead to another and I did not do much else than watch Legend of the Seeker for 5 whole days, except eating, sleeping, toilet visit’s and going in school to study but the only things I could thing of was “What will happen in the next episode when I get home, can it get any better than it currently is?!” I was absent from my family most of the time. When I watched session 1 finalle my mother disturbed me and came into my room to see if I possibly was doing something else than watching this amazing show. She actually said “You know, you could do something else…” and I replied; Are..You..Crazy?! So she left me alone in what I had become to call my dungeon.

I truly love this show, the actors are great. I found the 13th episode of session 2 was funny which was a change from all this exciting,Spoiler inc: epic adventure where Cara or Tabrett Bethell had to act as a gentle, charming and nice princess and she is clearly not such a person in the show but the more you watch the 2th session she progresses into a more friendly, soft and perhaps even a bit of a loving person instead of a cold-blooded, cruel Mord’sith and she later learn that she is as valuable to Richard and Kahlin and later Cara even considers Kahlin her friend eventually. That was awesome to see! Another thing I really liked was how Richard and Kahlin/actors/actress could display such love to each other on the screen, it almost made me weep a tear and on top of that you watch such an epic adventure that is almost unbelive able atleast for me. How the adventure comebines the few sweet moments where Richard just have to lift his heart and tell Kahlin how much he loves her, and how she loves him. I am quite a soft guy when it comes to watch those moments hehe.
I would probably be sad for a whole day if I got to know that a session 3 would not be made. I am already slightly depressed and wouldn’t want to be any more sad, enough talk about me. Anyhow this show is genius, brilliant, fantastic, incredible and much more, these statements have already been said by we fans who is watching this show with much anticipation but I must tell my thoughts and basically lift my heart of what I think is so great about this show. I told my friends about it in school, most of them where like “Legend of the Seeker, HAHA I have watched a few episodes of it and I don’t understand anything of it!” then later it was known that they had started watching later in the 1st session and that’s why they did not understand anything. But I managed to get 1 enough interested so he was having a boring time one evening and gave Legend of the Seeker a try and the next day he was like “I watched Legend of the Seeker yesterday, and it was awesome and the girl who plays..What is her name..? Bridget Regan i told him and he continued and said she is so beautiful! I answered him; Dude, your not the first one to say that. So now we are both hooked up on this awesome show, it would be such a shame if Legend of the Seeker ended after only 2 session’s..unfinished, just left to be forgotten. Heck! If I get kids later in life I will probably mention Legend of the Seeker to them and they will ask what that is and I will answer “Oh son, you have missed a real good TV show.” Wish I could help out with the production of session 3 but it isn’t that easy hehe. :D I will copy this messege and spread it to any possible Legend of the Seeker website. Heh I just realized I have spent 1 hour and 40 minutes writing this messege but I MUST LOVE THIS SHOW!! Few times have I come across such a good TV show/movie but still I am quite young, soon seventeen (17) there might come better series but I doubt it, this is the first that I have seen that is like this show, one of a kind even if it reminds you a little bit of Xena. If this show would go down in damnation I must thank everyone who have worked on doing this epic TV show/series even if I don’t know you in real life and you probably wont read this messege. But I do it as I have become a Seeker Fan and this is my way to show support for the show. It could atleast continue to a 10th ssession. If it wont continue I must read the books wish I would not want to. Also on a sidenote it was very cleaver to film on New Zealand, the nature is pretty damn majestic.

I must love this show!! Have I lost my mind? Must have thrown it into a basket that day when I discovered this great show while passing my TV and share this on the internet where everything you write is there forever LoL…Finally I want to say: Thank you so much for such a great TV show! <3

I hope that I am not too late but I live in the UK and am completely addicted to the show. I was devistated when I discovered only moments ago that it had been canceled. But I was thinking that if we can get enough people to complain to the tv company or just make a lot of noise about this then maybe we may stand a chance still of saving the show if we can show that there are lots of people who enjoy the show. I think that the only reason why not many people were watching it was that there was nowhere near enough advertising for it, I only came upon the show by chance whilst channel surfing during the christmas holidays. Ever since I have been hooked and I think that if we can make enough noise then we could convince them to give the Seeker one more chance.

  • By Robert Schuh, May 19, 2010 @ 2:28 pm

I agree that I also just stumbled on the TV show legend of the seeker but when I 1st saw the 1st episode of legend of the seeker I was completely hooked on the show plus it adds more to everything it has everything in a show you want like good lessons for both grownups & teens like true love, true friendship, romance, family values, morals, adventure, magic, fantasy & so much more like how Kahlan & Richard care more about other people than their own selves which are good lessons for all of us.it is also the most superb show on TV it is far better than Smallville & Smallville had a bumpy ride so if fans keep writing & buying DVD’s of legend of the seeker & tell more people about the show the show will still have a chance to get to its 3rd season which I am looking forward to the show if it gets canceled would disappoint me desperately I love the show more than any show on TV today.if the show gets to a 3rd season with the fans help so another station picks it up for a 3rd season of legend of the seeker I would like in the 3rd season for them to find a way for Kahlan & Richard to have children without Kahlan’s powers hurting Richard they deserve it they gave up the chance to be together when they gave the potion to Chase so they certainly deserve to be together in the 3rd season or even a 4th or 5th season if we help to get legend of the seeker to get to a 3rd season I am sure it will go farther than just 3 seasons for that superb show legend of the seeker.I called channel 7 about legend of the seeker as well as ABC & Disney that I told them about legend of the seeker should go to a 3rd season.I have also bought DVD’s of legend of the seeker to try to help it continue to a 3rd season.

  • By Robert Schuh, May 19, 2010 @ 2:34 pm

I cant see why they would cancel such a superb show like legend of the seeker & keep other shows which are not even close to being as superb as legend of the seeker so I certainly am trying my best to help legend of the seeker get picked up & have it continue to a 3rd season Bridget Regan nails the role perfectly as the confessor as well as Craig Horner,Bruce Spence,Tabrett Bethell they are all superb for their role in the TV show so I cant see why they would cancel it but I will try my best to contact other stations & write letters call them & buy DVD’s of legend of the seeker to try to help it get to the 3rd season which it deserves.
