So much trouble, effort, & struggle to keep Richard alive until he was ready, permitting the world to suffer under Rahl, the true Seeker being a rare commodity and all that... and then they just name the first goofball who walks up wanting a piece of Cara's lovin?! It smells like Cheetos in here. Yeah, that thing about Leo (aka fake Seeker) being the first true Seeker in :15 minutes… thats a plot weakness which came to my mind as well. I think they thought they WERE the prophets... and that in itself is a problem and is how I believe Zedd and Richard see it. How do you know a prophecy is being read/interpreted correctly? And how can you be sure that the prophet is even a "real" prophet? and if you were a "real" prophet, is it guaranteed that you always read prophecies correctly? As the Seeker, he doesn't take these things at face value. Which I believe is why he's been so successful. even Zedd. Instead he takes what is in front of him and seeks the truth in the matter. While Zed does believe in prophecies he never acts on them as well since the words don't give the true meaning of any prophecy, you need a prophet for that.
