At the end of today’s rerun of BROKEN, there was a preview of next week’s episode RESURRECTION. In the preview, Cara takes on Denna, and Richard is shown in the underworld, followed by Cara announcing that “Richard is dead.” LotS returns in 2010 with what looks like another great episode.

  • By John, January 2, 2010 @ 6:15 pm

@Charlie Schmidt That is weird that they would have it on TV before the website. Ill check for it on youtube maybe.

Happy New Year, everyone! My New Year resolutions are to see the remainder of Season 2, The Best and the Brightest, the beginning of Season 3, and hopefully some fun new interviews. :-)

  • By John, January 3, 2010 @ 4:18 pm

@Seventh Thanks for getting that! Looks intense, I can’t wait!

  • By Dennis, January 5, 2010 @ 8:22 am

How’s about for the new year this site get a proper chatroom/discussion board? I’ve looked but haven’t found such a site out there. You could basically own the discussion forum for LotS, since we all come here anyways.

And if you do, please be a bit more liberal in your tolerance of posts that irritate some people. Free speech cannot/will not appeal to all sensibilities — there will always be someone “offended”. Open and free communication is always best (so long as its legal, i.e. no threats of violence etc.) My request for the new year.

And may it be your best year yet, for all of you!

    Good idea Dennis!
    +1

Apparently, this week’s episode RESURRECTION involves Denna entering the SEEKERS OF LOVE contest and courting both Richard and Cara. Unfortunately, Cara has entered that contest and is courting Richard, which results in a humongous catfight between Denna and Cara. Cara whales the tar out of Denna, but Denna kills Richard to prevent Cara from having him. Things get really ugly when Darken Rahl enters the contest and courts Richard in the underworld. Just as Darken asks Richard to marry him, Kahlan goes into a mega-Con Dar which pierces the veil to the underworld, whereupon Kahlan forces the confessed Keeper to return Richard to the Midlands.

As the episode ends, Cara is seen passionately kissing Richard, but it’s actually Zedd using his magic mirror, and when he transforms back to Zedd, Cara barfs.

    @Dennis
Well there is always the Hulu message board which basically is one long moan about how the TV series is different than the books. You think they would have figures that out by now.

My relative in Golden Bay, NZ says summer is really fine down there this year.
:-( for us New Englanders….but let them ski on grass!!! Oh yah they have glaciers in the Mts to ski anytime.

Good news…Bridget might get her wish of every New Year’s in NZ, ahhh reruns of Bridget 5 night a week next year. Wheel of Fortune make room!! LOL

Syndicated Top 25: Wheel rules; Legend of The Seeker Rerun Performs Well:
Legend of the Seeker fans, the show’s seventh episode (from the weekend of Dec-19-20) didn’t make the top 25, but its 2.108 million average viewers was a season low was a repeat and after the previous week’s season high of 2.671 million.

This dude that post this info is great, he singles out LOTS to post info even though they are not in the top 25..please visit his site and post nice comments.

So should I read the books or will it take away from the show??? Need a new book to sit next to my fire with.

  • By John, January 6, 2010 @ 5:12 pm

@flip I started reading the books a couple days ago and I can’t stop. I watched the first season twice because I loved it soooo much! Now with the book its like watching the first season with a tons of extras. If you have watched the first season I highly suggest reading at least the first book. Imagining Bridget Craig and Bruce as the characters in the book makes it even better for me. The romance in the book is much better then in the TV series so you will probably love it like me. :)

Keisha Castle-Hughes will guest-star in an upcoming episode of LotS, as per this announcement:

Season Two has really gotten more “A list” actors as guest stars, which is a big plus.

  • By flip, January 6, 2010 @ 9:00 pm

    @john
Thanks…you hit all the hot buttons for me. I’ll get to it!! Nice to hear from a romantic like myself.

    SPOILER!!

I assume this is whom Bridget was talking about working with..

Keisha Castle-Hughes has signed on to guest star in an episode of the syndicated hit “Legend of the Seeker.”

Castle-Hughes will be filming her appearance this week, shooting in her native New Zealand. The 19-year-old actress will play a young woman claiming to be the living embodiment of a God. She apparently has plenty of power to go with that confidence, so it’s up to Richard (Craig Horner), Kahlan (Bridget Regan) and Zedd (Bruce Spence) to find out the truth about her identity.

In 2004, Castle-Hughes became the younger performer to be nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her work in the feature “Whale Rider” (losing to Charlize Theron for “Monster”). She later played Mary in “The Nativity Story.” If you’ve been missing her since then, she appeared in something called “Hey Hey It’s Esther Blueburger” and in the New Zealand telefilm “Piece of My Heart.”

Currently in its second season, “Legend of the Seeker” airs Saturdays and Sundays in national syndication. en Biller, Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Ned Nalle and Josh Donen serve as executive producers on the ABC Studios series.

Sorry guys, I’ve been meaning to reply but this week has just been INSANELY busy. We’re actually working on some major site renovations at the moment, but once those are done we’ll think about adding either a chat or a message board. That’s just one of those things that we need to consider very carefully as this site already takes up a lot of time as it is. Chris and I won’t commit ourselves and the site to something if we don’t think we can keep everything up to our crazy high standards.

  • By John, January 9, 2010 @ 4:18 am

@Lindsey Good to hear that from you Lindsey. A message board or chat would be excellent for the discussions that we get into. I love that you guys have such high standards for the site, it truly is top notch! Love the clean look! Keep up the great work!

  • By Sarah, January 9, 2010 @ 6:07 pm

Hi Lindsey, awesome news! Site renovations are always massive undertakings, but I’m sure it will be exciting. Your hard work is definitely evident and much appreciated. Hopefully it all works out.

Sweet, I can’t wait to see the new design/layout/look! :D
